Klipfontein Rustic Farm and Camping

Worst place I have ever been to. Terrible and nightmarish experience and terrible service. It is advertised as a beautiful, rustic farm with self catering units however it is just an overpriced and disgusting backpackers. The owner Dean couldn't even provide us with warm bedding after it had recently snowed and we had to take out our sleeping bags from a hiking trip. For the price we were charged we expected a private room but we were expected to Share with a stranger. There is an outdoor shower which does not at all look fit for human use. It is full of mold and looks like a used sheep kraal. It has no privacy and we were a group of 3 young women who did not feel safe or comfortable with using that shower. When we raised our complaints and concerns with Dean he was unhelpful and dismissive and simply said that we should sort it out with booking.com. We had to get another place to sleep 20 minutes before curfew as we decided we would rather lose the money than stay even one night there. The place probably needs to be inspected for health and safety.Definitely NOT recommended. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Best place we have been to. Love the open showers and toilets. You feel part of nature since its a clothing optional farm. Great vibe on weekends. Highly recommended.

What an incredibly amazing estate with such a beautiful garden. The enormous gate upon the entrance leads you down a path of mountains arriving at the destination of happiness. Enjoy a beautiful day at one of Tulbaghs most beautiful properties.

Beautiful farm, surrounded by snow-capped mountains (at least during winter). We stayed in a room, connected to the historic farmhouse. It was reasonably priced (R500 per night, July 2021). The room was warm (heater) and spacious, with a King size bed. We shared the amenities with the dorms and campers.Tulbagh and it's majestic winelands is only a 10 minutes drive, so one can easily eat out several times a day, should one feel disinclined to share the amenities.There are some quirky elements that we loved, but that might not be everybody's cup of tea. For instance, the showers that are closest to the dorms were completely open, with no walls or demarcations. That said, the owners clearly state that this is a clothing-optional space. There are enclosed showers though, towards the dam. Lovely tolerant environment - not for the prudish or conservative.

Had an absolutely amazing experience. The hosts were great and very accommodating. We felt so free being in such an open minded environment. I wish I could have stayed longer. Recommend 100%

A wonderful tranquil place to get away from the business of the world. Beautiful scenery.The facilities were great, the toilets were very clean and I loved their outdoor shower.I would definitely come back again.

One of our favorite spots. It is a clothing optional, gay owned resort with chalets and camping spots available. The idea is to get back to nature, so off grid camping is encouraged.

Excellent long weekend, week or just for the day break away. Beautiful surroundings and the staff is friendly and helpful. A place for any nudist to go and be one with nature
