One of the most unique places that we have stayed at in the cape. Their pod houses are modern, cozy and the wood fire hot tubs are the perfect way to end the day. If you looking for an escape into the mountains that you can do in any vehicle, then this is the place for you.

This was by far one of my best experiences at a wedding. There is to much to mention, there is absolutely nothing i can complain about or even give advice to better as it was amazing. The rooms had everything you can ask for and more. The staff was amazing and on point.I would recommend it to anyone and would definitely be back.I never go to the same place twice but this is definitely a exception.

We camped. Lovely lawns for camping. Our site's ablutions were just a bit far from the camp site

Very nice campsites next to the river. There is good mountain biking and some hikes. Sadly they have cut back on some services like providing wood and toilet paper, and don’t service the ablutions unless you ask, even though they continue to increase their prices.

We opted to stay in the Wallis Simpsion pod for two nights with our two boys. It was a magical experience to say the least! The pod is private and you are surrounded by nature and the most majestic mountains. It is worth every cent!

The worst restaurant I can ever recall visiting. Bacon Avo Feta pizza, served without Avo (no mention from the staff) it was raw and favourless. Trout was overcooked and disgusting. Chicken salad was dry. Service pathetic.

Very nice there but if you are planning on fishing would recommend going in autumn or spring since there trout are more active there and you’ll have a better chance of catching fish if you go drive up and go into the river further down not just the ones by the campsites even though there might be trout there and recommend going to beat 2 on the Holsloot river.

I’ve stayed in the chalets twice and camped once before. I love Trout Hideaway. It’s such an amazing, tranquil spot. The chalets are awesome, and the camping site (number 11) was so beautiful. The river was right on our tent’s doorstep with a great patch of grass for some “garden” crickey!

We had a stunning camping experience. Private, each camp site has its own private section of the river. The site was green and clean. Would definitely recommend this place!
