Worst spur experience.Waiting on entering with so many staff at the counter but no one watching the door as we were standing and just waiting to be given a table.Eventually kitchen staff member came to tell front desk customer waiting come now guys.Playroom was closed due to broken airconditioner being lose in the playroom.Ordered drinks and starter.Had to wait on drinks again then instead got starter first while still waiting on drinks.Starter had this thick crusted hard base of cheese on top.We always order cheesy prawns but this was so bad with burnt roll and burnt prawns.Totally put me off from wanting to even order main meal.Our son had burger that came with ice cream and party packet.No ice cream due to loadshedding so that was understood.After finishing his burger asking for his party packet only then waitress comes to tell me they are out of stock with party packets. My son was not a happy 5 year old.Swapped ice cream for kiddies salad.Omw really the worst dried out tomatoes and cucumber.Looked like they were cut and been sitting out for days.Lettuce tasted like spinach so bitter.Not our normal spur to attend but had meeting at Vangate so we popped into spur.Definitely worst service and food.Have to say very beautiful modern store design.

I have ordered from this branch of Spur via Mr Delivery twice this Ramadaan. On both occasions the good was very well presented and packed and arrived before the estimated time. The food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely continue ordering.

Had a yummy breakfast there.Wasn't actually at vangate mall in many years , and was very delighted that the Spur there had such a lovely atmosphere .The manager was very friendly and helpful, I think once a month breakfast is a definite must for me going forward .

Good quality and portions were amazing. Been a while since I've been at spur, and it was excellent from service to atmosphere. The waitress, Mikyla - by far the best with professionalism and offering a 'VIP experience'.

I must say itEnd feb this year we had my grandchild's bday party at vangate very bad experience ever not gnna go into that but then after we get calls apologizing and that me my husband and grandchild must come back to eat because of us wrkin opposite shifts i said we will let them know then ramadaan came I finally got. Leave and msg that we. Will be coming for them to tell me we can nly get breakfast or a burger omw for bill amount that's wot i got as an offer as far as i know we allowed to.wit we ate cause i mean my bill was almost R3600 we did make it 4k and we can only eat breakfast or a burger wow u just lost me my friends and family as a customer

Awesome service from the manager and staff, they constantly check in if you are enjoying ur meal. The food is also great even when we order as a take away or when its delivered. The play area is just very small compared to other spur branches and they could do something to extend the area a bit especially because they tend to get very full over peak periods

Worst experience at spur I ever got! Had to wait 30 minutes for a waiter for take my order, if I didn't go to the manager and complain I would've still be waiting up until today. He takes my order and only after 30 minutes I get my food. I don't even wanna talk about how long we had to wait for our drinks because they didn't even have glasses. I never had an experience like that by any restaurant ever in my life. They don't have the best of staff either, I really regret going there and wasting my money. I do not recommend going to this spur!

So the other day my husband and I ordered ribs from Spur on the Uber app. We chose 2 different Spurs because I wanted beef and he wanted pork. His ribs came from a different Spur (GrandWest) perfect and juicy with all the extras, sauces and serviettes etc. Our food was delivered within 5 minutes of each other. I on the other hand, received cold food, horrible chips, did not enjoy my ribs as it tasted like day before ribs, no serviettes or anything and did not receive my Roquefort sauce I paid for and ordered. I called the store, (to the number attached to my meal that said I should call if there are any problems) the guy said he would get back to me and never did. So the store is just gonna take my money, be dismissive of my complaint and I must be happy with this terrible service. The difference between the 2 orders was vastly different. Also as a side note, my husband was a Spur operator, we know the food and the procedure if a mistake is made. Keep my money, but know that you have lost my patronage and hopefully people will read this and know that this Spur does not deal with customers complaints as they should.
