Horrible experience I had just now i went to shop there for first time since I reside in Pretoria the old coloured is rude and very arrogant!!!! I was shopping then went and touch a box full of clothes this old lady came and said since when do you shop in boxes" came snatched the clothes from my hand and continued to say "you do what I say here " I said I don't like how you speaking it's my first time here she said she doesn't care people like me should never be allowed to enter those promises !!!!then continued to say I'm depressed

I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience at DARG. We arrived at 10am as they opened. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by Joy in the reception area. Our first impression was that everything is neat, clean and well organized.The animals look happy and well looked after. They genuinely seem loved by each and every person we encountered who works there. There is a lot of space and things are well maintained.Faustina is incredibly knowledgeable, inviting and really listened to our needs.We are planning on fostering a dog through them and the process has been very smooth. They swiftly arranged a house check and have been excellent in their communication.If you are able to provide a loving home for a rescued animal, DARG is a great choice to guide you in the journey. They really care!Highly recommend a visit to their premises in Hout Bay and finding out more from their capable team.

Different class. Kind, helpful and caring.Two years on and still walking the walk. Phoned up and enquired about a lost identipet tag. No problem says Joyce, I have one here, where are you? Told her where I lived. i'll drop it off as its on my way home.... I have a rescue from DARG HBY, Ollies his name. I ride for for Cape sidecar adventures with Brodie and Valentine, who are DARG ex pupils. These people who do what they do, are so special . always with love and caring. Such amazing people and such big hearts for the animals got our precious Fluffy from here... Special special people.. Treated him with such special care when he came in with severely broken leg..look at him now... Luved the drive home and now quite content in the breeze on his pillow... Yes yes blue cover to come... Darg is set on a beautiful farm with cows, pigs and goats. They have over 200 rescued dogs in their care and dozens of cats, truly admirable work.If you have spare time you can also sign up to be a volunteer and walk the rescues such as Twiggy seen in the picture!

A beautiful setting and well looked after furkids. They are hosting a market every first Saturday of the month, a wonderful cause to support.

We LOVE DARG! They take the best care of their rescues and their rescues are just FREAKING awesome. We can't wait to see you again DARG! Thank you for all that you do for all of the animals that you take in.

So much LOVE! The staff and the volunteers are amazing people and they are the angels walking this earth. The premises are neat and clean and the dogs are all in good condition. Every person should contribute in some way or another.They have a book shop and another shop that sells all sorts of goodies. Please donate all your unwanted things. They will sell it and the money helps them survive!

Staff are always kind and friendly.So many things to buy in order to support the fur babies, and donations welcomed of course.I love that the dogs have space to run and roam, not like most animal shelters" where they're confined to small spaces."
