Whale Tale

Small towns have a charm about them that gets lost in the big cities. Family and I had a great stay at Whale Tale. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. Both bed room offered you sea views and also boasts magical sunsets and sunrises on the terrace. All amenities are on a 5 star standard, the finishing touches in each room is perfect. The nature reserve lies infront of the property and the hosts are very welcoming! Thank you Tim and Lesley for hosting us. It was a lovely and special holiday spent together.

Great apartment with superb views of the coast. It was magical to observe the whales and even to be able to hear them at night. The breakfast service was outstanding!

We spent 2 nights in the beautifully appointed studio apartment. Super hosts Tim and Les have thought of their guests' every need: a spacious, spotless apartment furnished with a king-sized bed, crisp linen and colourful rugs; a luxurious bathroom; a well-designed kitchenette; and personal touches including home-made rusks and boutique-roasted filter coffee. A pair of binoculars ensured our enjoyment of whale-sightings and glorious ocean views from the balcony and studio. Highly recommended.

Wow... the hots is so friendly, professional and very helpful. I would definately return and refer this place anytime. Its all in the small acts of kindness. Thank you Tim and Lesley.

We spent 3 days at the Whale Song apartment which was spotless, comfortable and had all that we needed, and more, for our stay. The view over Walker Bay was amazing and the sunsets breathtaking. Tim and Lesley are super hosts who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They provided welcoming start up goodies including a variety of teas, instant and freshly ground coffee, milk, delicious rusks, snacks and wine. They made suggestions for activities during our stay, which turned out to be excellent. This is one of those establishments that go onto the list for return visits.

Had a fantastic spoil at the Whale Tale upstairs apartment. Beautifully furnished and appointed - all open plan and well equipped for self-catering. Comfy beds, large shower large living area shared with the main(king) bed and open plan kitcen + small island. Small outside patio with direct views of the ocean and whales. We even received a welcome bottle of wine. Will definitely be back when in the area again next year. thanks Tim and Lesley !

Beautiful views from this lovely self catering apartment that sleeps 4 in two en suite bathrooms. Excellent location on Cliff road close to Walker Bay reserve. The kitchen is equipped with all you will need. The complimentary wine and biscuits were a welcome treat. Will definitely stay here again

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Whale Tale in August. Tim and Lesley are outstanding hosts and the apartments are stunning with even better views. The apartments in #dekelders overlook #walkerbay , where the whales frequent and it’s so easy to watch the ocean for hours and hours. Fully equipped and beautifully decorated rooms each have their own spacious bathrooms and crisp white linen.Ideal for #familytravel #remoteworking #coupletravels and the ‘odd’ (me) #solotraveller just out looking for somewhere new to explore.Thanks Tim and Lesley - till next time.

I don't even know where to begin, I had the best time ever! The place itself is simply stunning. The location on the cliff, overlooking the bay and the ocean is incredibly beautiful. I don't have words to describe it. And then on top of that, the whales were passing right in front of the house, as were dolphins and seals. I worked from there (super strong wifi!) and let me tell you it was not very productive, as I could hardly keep my eyes on my laptop. The beautiful Cape Nature Walker Bay starts right at the doorstep and invites for amazing walks along the coast. The small" apartment (yet very spacious) was soooo pretty
