Kloofzicht Estate Country House

We had the most beautiful stay at Kloofzicht Estate… the house itself is pretty amazing and very comfortable and the staff are just gorgeous. Miela & Xolishwa looked after us so well. It was so nice to have so much space and enjoy the garden and the pool… and the deli offered delicious treats and coffee.

Although the management was so great, unfortunately the owner wasn't available to assist on the day with my concerns.I spoke to her on many emails asking to book out the entire venue for a private event (even if I didn't fill all the beds I was willing to pay for the for exclusivity). I'm deducting a star since the there are 3 rooms that are in the living areas, no privacy with door etc. The lack of communication. And the terrible service re this afterward. I emailed to make my concerns but the response was a screenshot of one email when I asked for exclusivity rather than privacy. There is a lack of privacy by the pool. Since all the guests from the deli can See the pool. And loft guests must walk past the deli door to get to the apt. They are also woken up by deli staff talking and music on Sat and Sun mornings.

We booked the entire venue for a 60th birthday weekend. The place is clean and well maintained. The staff were super friendly and welcoming even when we arrived a bit early. We were allowed to check out a bit later. The pictures don't do the place justice. We were supplied with wood for indoor fires to keep us warm which was excellent. The location is good as well as it is just outside of the town of Tulbagh about 5mins away. Our family will definitely be going back there to the venue.

Such a beautiful setting! I can't overstate how wonderfully welcoming and proficient the staff at Kloofzicht were in enabling our recent wedding weekend with our family, especially in pandemic times. The venue is simply stunning. Miela and her team were amazing. The food they made for us was so delicious, and their presence so respectful and supportive. Thanks so much for making our wedding weekend everything we wanted it to be.

We booked in this weekend past and had the most relaxing and wonderful time. From rowing on the dam to sleeping in front of the fireplace. There are many types of birds and the surrounding mountains are so beautiful, you cannot stop looking. The staff is very friendly and they make sure that you are treated like the queen of England. We will be back for sure.

Something different. Lots of antique crockery and little gems. Had a nice glass of white wine recommended by the staff. Views outside are very relaxing and it is also dog friendly!

The place is stunning. Staff very helpful and accomodating.Water was a bit of an issue for showers but we later discovered it was because of loadshedding.....other solution would be awesome.

The lunch was exceptional. Delicious and tasty. The location was fabulous, peaceful and picturesque. Well done to Miela and team. Highly recommended.

Beautiful manor house with lots of amenities. The beds were a little old (antique) and creaked a fair bit while trying to sleep. Pool area is gorgeous, lots of space to host large gatherings.The deli on the property is quaint and has delicious omelets.
