Stor-Age Bellville - Peter Barlow

Overly officious. Storage units are dirty and your goods get dirty in there as not weather proof from wind and dust. Was offered a deal on one unit and was told would be available on a second one but when we took it at short notice the price had increased by 50%. Security guard at weekend very jobsworth and tried to stop us entering as was closing in 30 minutes. Prefer cleaner and longer hours. Will be moving our storage soon as left a bad taste in our mouth. Usual rip off with the price of a R50 padlock being charged at R200 so don’t forget to bring your own. Stealth tax of mandatory insurance so be prepared. There are better solutions out there.

The staff is incredibly helpful and always responded very quickly. I'd especially like to thank employee Anthony for providing an excellent service!

Nice range of self storage options to suit most needs. Would be keen to know if discounts would be offered to long-term clients after a certain time.

Renting two units at the moment, this is my third contract with Stor-Age. This alone tells of the quality of service Stor-Age Bellville has provided and continues to provide, since it has many competitors.The staff member I currently deal with, Mr James Brink, deserves special commendation. He is pleasant, knowledgeable and most helpful with tips and advice. Staff such as he are what make for great companies.

Aggressive staff, from Anthony the manager to women security staff. My Access card fell off and was lost. I have had nothing but terrible treatment with me not being allowed in to access my storage unit with my household contents. Yet I'm a paying client. I was literally held captive in the facility ground as the security guard would not tag me out. Arrived to get another access card in the week and was told offices were closed for the day, no notification sent to clients.

Horrendous customer service. If you send them an proof of payment of an EFT you made to them and make the mistake of showing up at the facility the next day before the deposit hits their account, Peter barlow stor-age employees will forbid you from entering the premises and proceed to yell at you from the gate about their paranoia of reversing payments and company policy. I wasn't demanding for my things to be given to me there and then, all I wanted was clear communication and for things to be explained in a calm professional manner. Also they didn't have any removal trucks or pickup bakkies available for november, december and january and failed to refer me to a company that does hires. So best to sort yourself out beforehand or at least that's what I was told.

I must say. NATHAN and ANTHONY are truly genuine customer service Managers. They gave me the service I have not had at any other store space. I have stored for 11 years/ 14 years / 20 years since 1980s. I Never had such great customer service before especially after the very bad experience at a store place where I left after only 1 x single month so bad the service was to me. I will recommend Stor-Age Peter Barlow Bellville anytime. I am only angry at myself for not looking around to find Stor-Age Peter Barlow first. To top it all they gave discount for { advance age} plus deducted part days of the month where I started to use their space and help with insurance cover for peace of mind.A BIG THANK YOU TO NATHAN and ANTHONY at STOR-AGE Regards Olga

I used the Bellville branch. James was very informative and helpful. Service was easy to use and no complications. I forgot my lock when moving the 1st time and James was kind enough to provide a temporary lock for me. Would recommend.
