Badplaas, A Forever Resort
The pools and hydro was relaxing. Hydro is clean and revamped. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the pools ...Sad to see upon returning after 7 years the chalets have not changed . The rooms are dark and morbid. The lighting is terrible. The cleanliness is poor. You do not have to be a 5 star resort to be clean. The window was replaced in the bedroom yet the mess was not cleaned up. Webs beneath the lamp shades. We had to clean it. Dishwasher soap was not provided. Dirt and filth found under the beds and couches. Surely if a new guest arrives , prior to their arrival a thorough clean is completed. However, the reception were friendly and the security at the gate was super helpful.

Badplaas is certainly not what I remembered it to be. As a kid, it was one of the best resorts to visit over weekends or even just for the day because of its atmosphere. Now it's just boring. Not sure if this is just a post covid issue but there's barely anything to do. The restaurant, bar, and entertainment room are closed and Spar has been replaced with a mediocre mini supermarket. The horses have fleas on them and the game drive just isn't worth it. For what it's worth, the place is overall well-maintained, and the staff is super helpful and friendly!

We did not stay at the resort, but rather one close by, over the 2023 Easter weekend. The area is rather depressing, close by attractions have shut down, leaving one with very little in the line of entertainment. We approached Forever Badplaas as day visitors to be told that as the resort is full no day visitors would be allowed. My concern is for the nearby resorts - travelers would not visit these places for a period, especially those with children if there was nothing to do - wouldn’t it be economically beneficial to all if Forever formed some sort of business agreement to allow other resorts to have their guests gain access to Forever????

Very tranquil, clean and beautiful. Most pools are heated which makes it ideal for swimming all year round. My children really enjoyed Badplaas Forever Resort and we will be visiting again soon.

The resort is beautiful, I had so much fun with my family. The chalet that we booked was not thoroughly clean, we found spider webs in some of the places, bugs on the beds, the air-conditioner had too much dust and webs. We had to buy Doom and Tabard candle. The chalets should be thoroughly cleaned and fumigated on a regular basis.
