We popped on to Packwood on our way from Plett to Knysna - and the road was fairly good.The winetasting was great and the views were spectacular.The host was lovely.The only thing I can say is be careful how Google gets you out if you do not go back the same way - we were on a loggers road, there were branches and trees in the way, I had to get out of the car and clear them away. This is only a caution for those who may make the same mistake we made. Packwood is definitely worth the trip

We had an incredible wine tasting as part of the Plett Camino. The wines are really super, and the homemade cheese and charcuterie lunch platters were something beyond ! We will definitely be back.

Lovely wines and platters and overall just a superb experience. A small, tranquil space with excellent service.It’s a family favourite and somewhat of an annual outing. Would highly recommend to anyone when visiting the garden route.

We had a wonderful experience at Packwood! Ilse hosted us and prepared a beautiful cheese platter - which she also literally made herself. She makes the cheeses, bread, preserves, serves the wine and is a lovely face of the business. Wine was promising for a young estate and the view is stunning. Defo be back soon to see what else Ilse has learnt to make and serves on the platter!

We went for a Saturday morning wine tasting and cheese platter at Packwood, and we'll definitely be back for another! The views are stunning, the platter of homemade breads and cheeses was unbelievably delicious and the wines are unique and incredibly tasty. (Their wooded Sauvignon blanc is definitely worth the buy!). Ilse was a fantastic host and made us feel right at home.

Very grumpy moody staff. We were a group of 5 ladies on a girl's trip. Really looking forward to visit this wine farm and we're disappointed to say the least. We visited on Friday the 16th of December at around 12PM. We were the only customers" and the staff definitely did go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Weren't allowed to order Eggs Benedict and staff said we are required to pre-book the eggs Benedict however the board by the cheese station says nothing about booking and looks like a menu were you can just order the eggs off of. We called before hand to ask if they were open and told them we were on our way in the fear that we may have needed to book incase they were busy

Lovely atmosphere, very friendly service at the wine tasting. We took the tasting flight and one cheese board. The cheeses were lovely, and the spicy one had a fun kick! The bread was also great and fresh.With that, the wines were disappointing in that we were only served wine that was “too young, and will taste good in 1-2 years,” and indeed it tasted that way. Usually in tastings we have been served wine at a better if not its ideal age, to show off the potential of the wine, so this strategy was a shame in our opinion.

The place is absolutely beautiful and Arty that i cant take away.The Thing that made me rate the place a 2,is the staff s pretence of service and attitude. When we asked to be taken pictures for their marketing obviously on social media, the lady s face changed to a mean look.For people who depend on tourism their attitude is bad.I did like the wines though they were very young abd light.The place does have potential if more food can be added.

What a lovely farm and welcoming staff. Thank you Ilse for making our family tasting memorable and extra special. We appreciated all the effort, from the beautiful table setting with the farm and mountain view as a backdrop to your knowledge about the wines and the lovely, tasty cheese boards.
