A wonderful home from home" for a family holiday - we were 3 generations altogether- there was something for everyone - fabulous views and walks

I have been going to Waterhoek for many many years and it's my favourite place in the world. My kids are now grown and we still find joy there as a family. It's just so peaceful❤

Great place. Nice long cottage with 4 rooms with either a bathroom (2) or the kitchen/lounge between providing privacy and less snoring.Lovely bend on the river with calm water on the outside of the bend for swimming, tubing or even canoeing.Plenty of small bass biting, bigger bass will require a bit more skill.No noise, light or signal pollution. Perfect place for a weekend.

Great rustic cabin accommodation .also campsite available.toilets and showers very clean.very clean.lovely river views.calm peaceful environment.friendly hostess.dogs allowed.

I do not have enough words for Waterhoek. It is an amazing place! The cottages are clean, comfortable and huge. If you're looking to get away and down to stopping and smelling the roses, then this is the place to go. Great fishing and beautiful scenery. Forests and hills to walk and wide open spaces. Pet friendly as all the cottages are fully fenced. The hosts, Sean and Michelle certainly see that you are comfortable. An awesome experience and very relaxing. Affordable and so comfortable. Really worth going here

Truly a hidden gem that will be a great place in a few years.Owners are still working on the place but what they have done so far is really just injected you into a real and raw paradise.The walks on the farm are lovely, but the real draw is the Mooi river that you get to enjoy the sounds of from your tent or cottage.Lovely pools to swim in, rapids to explore. Truly my favorite place I've been to so far in close proximity of Durban.The cottages are fully self catering, the camping is off grid for now though but you sit literally on the river.I cannot wait to see how the place transforms as the new owners prepare it for people like us to enjoy paradise.

Stunning rustic camping. Sean went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. If peace and tranquility is your thing....this is your spot. Some nice bass in the dams and river.

Wow! What a lovely, peaceful place. Clean facilities, hot water and a good braai space. Beautiful views. Amazing bird life. Quiet trails, and even the opportunity to take a canoe down the river or do some fishing. Nothing pretentious, nature at it's finest.
