Beautiful products but very expensive. Helpful assistants and nice atmosphere.

Disappointed. Need an account to purchase material but it would appear that the criteria to open the account is not clear and transparent. No documentation to that effect could be provided. It's not like opening the account offers credit facilities since cash payment is required for new accounts. I am of the opinion that it is to create a monopoly amongst the incumbent designers/designer stores. I am of the opinion that the policy is discriminatory and prevents young designers equal access to the supply chain. This practice forces young designers to get incumbent designers to make purchases for them with a 20% markup, thus pricing new designers out of the market. I am considering approaching the competition commission and/or the equality court to investigate the discriminatory practices taking place at this company. In a country where the youth is encouraged to create jobs, access to raw materials at equitable prices to those offered to incumbents is important.

Some staff seem quite snobby and the general vibe was pretentious. Sure it’s an upmarket product but customer service doesn’t need to suffer. It’s not a feel good experience to be there.

We visited the coffee shop inside Hertex, not Hertex Fabrics itself. The coffee shop was one of my favourite places to meet up with friends. Recently the really good service has gone to really bad. Their prices is also ridiculous!

Dear HertexAre you not aware that you are contravening the Consumer Act by refusing to refund or exchange a product that is deemed not suitable within 6 months? I purchased a product online as it was not available for viewing at your show room and even returned it within 45min of collecting it, only to discover that the colour does not resemble anything close to the online colour. May I add, that in a day and age where the world economy is staggering and customers are paramount for business's to survive, Hertex certainly doesn't garnish the severity of contravening the Consumer Act and loosing patrons, as it has here. I have been a loyal customer for 18 years. Shocking lack of customer service!

I spent wonderful hours... what a joyful homecoming to texture, line and colour after a long lockdown in Langebaan. Minette was super great and most helpful! Crystal Lagoon Lodge has such a wonderful love affair with Hertex.

Upmarket supplier of quality materials for curtaining and upholstery. Very good selection of various fabrics of varying quality and price. Also supply wide range of carpets. Very experienced and friendly staff.

Bought fabric at their annual sale to cover 2 chairs but after 3 months the cushions of the chair started discolouring while the rest of the chair did not discolour. I wrote to Hertex but they will not refund saying I bought at sale and a bunch of other excuses. I would have been happy with a discount on new fabric, but no nice gesture from Hertex what so ever. I won't buy at Hertex again because apparently they can'tguarantee quality.
