This was by far the best Indian food I have ever had. We ordered a starter and the chicken was so succulent it is hard to believe. The main course as per the photo was absolutely so tasteful and wonderful. The service was fantastic, friendly and fast. I would highly recommend this to all and they will definitely be seeing us again.

Wow !!! I was literally blown away by the awesome and friendly service from this place. The staff are friendly and just felt like I could stay there and eat and eat.We had mince samoosa as a starter they looked which was really delicious and a nice portion for starter.The masala tea is sooooo good !!! I am hooked. It was such a lovely tea wonderful flavor.The curries were paneer masala and paneer palak with butter naan and roti. It was super tasty and super fresh and just enjoyed every bit of flavor and no didn’t go for mild. The spice was perfect.Thank you for the amazing service and compliments to the chef for making such a great meal and making me want to come back.

Very friendly staff and the food is okay, it could be better as every dish we tested had this sweetness in it. The other thing is the space, the restaurant is in a shop, no ventilation, you can feel the kitchen heat coming in, one aircon is not enough for a summer day heat in Pretoria, there are seats outside however but to be honest, it's in the alley and people brush on you when they pass by, on thier way to Spar supermarket. The last thing is the seating, the chairs are high but hard and uncomfortable, good for a quick bite but not for a fine dining experience,

Enjoyed every moment at Rasam Tandoori today . Excellent service and good food. I had butter chicken,with rice and naan bread. My kids had lamb Roti and bunny chow. They rated the restaurant 10/10. Definitely hooked and coming back for more.

Since I discovered the buffet on Friday and Sunday, it's almost instinctual on those days that I start craving it and usually end up there. But ordering off the menu is great too. There are so many options and you can even choose your spiciness level. The food is really amazing! I've had Indian food in many countries, including India, and I have to say this place is up there with the best. The service is impeccable and the owner/manager floats around making sure everything runs smoothly and everyone is happy. He's very friendly and makes you feel at home.

This was our first experience with you and although we did get the authentic flavors of the curries, the prawns were rubbery, the lamb was tough, the Naan bread was 'stretchy' and we did not receive our salad with our order. Not what we expected...

We were excited, expecting an authentic Indian dining experience. The lamb Rogan Josh was tough and dry, the prawn masala was rubbery, we never received the salad and the extra Naan was inedible. The sauce was tasty, my mom could have done better.

This is the best Indian Restaurant that we've been to in the whole of Pretoria East!We absolutely love the butter chicken & the chicken biryani, they are some of the best we've ever had! We also know that the prawn korma and chicken curry are to die for!If you love Indian food- and you haven't been here- then you're missing out!They are on many delivery apps and the in restaurant experience is definitely highly recommended!*Review edit a year later*We visited Rasam for a their Sunday buffet and we were pleasantly surprised! The buffet is a reasonable R120 per person and they offered a variety of 6 different dishes as well as starters (samoosas and other yummy things). They also had pudding available. We'll definitely be returning for the buffet since we loved being able to taste their different dishes without having to order them all. The buffet starts at 12.

Was really excited to try your curry. Waited the whole week & ordered on Sunday evening. Ordered Butter chicken & Lamb korma. Both the curries were way to sweet to even eat. So disappointed.
