My Own ISP is one of the worst service providers I have come across. Our internet speed is constantly unreliable. We have a 50mbs line, which, at worst runs at 0.7mbs and at best at around 10mps. Furthermore, we don't even have WiFi in all the rooms of our home - despite living in a small apartment with boosters installed to assist with this. (All items we had to purchase at our own expense). Every time we have had to contact the call centre, only to receive apathetic service and no assistance or proper feedback. Getting hold of senior technicians to receive advanced/escalated assistance is near to impossible - even though they are clearly advertised on My Own's website as providing 5-star service to assist customers. Added to this, they simply refuse to send out technicians to come and investigate the problem. As a result, we had to get a technician in (recommended by My Own) at our own cost to replace the poor-quality router originally installed by My Own. The technician did everything in his power to upgrade all equipment and sort out the issue, but this was again done at our own cost with no support from My Own. The WiFi seemed much better after this, but for the past four weeks, we are back to square one and now My Own is simply not taking any responsibility. The issue is clearly coming from their side, but the routine response is that we have to call and plead on nearly a weekly basis to get internet.That there will be issues with internet connection is one thing - and can happen. But this constant struggle and appalling service to paying customers is simply not acceptable.I would not recommend this company.

We had endless problems with our fibre at home until Rowan Luck arrived and offered us a solution. We approved the quote and the installation was done. I can gladly say that this is the best thing we ever did.

Poor service i have received a very bad service, my fiber was installed and promised me that the network coverage will cover my whole house which is 60sqm only to find out that the network coverage is only at the Sitting room and all other rooms don't have network, phoned them and they keep saying they are looking at the matter, after then sent me an invoice of R2500 for the extender of which i told them am not going to buy that since they sold me a dream, it left me with no choice but to cancel their service... After cancelling the service they sent me another invoice of R3000 for cancellation. When you call wanted to speak with someone in the management position, kept telling you that they are not available (protecting them from hearing their empty promises their sales guys gave us. I have asked for Rowen and Riaan but couldn't get to them....

Rowan assisted me although I was an Afrihost client. He went out of his way in order to get me connected to a service provider. I am not tech savvy at all and he assisted me with pleasure. I will most definately support him and his company in the future. If that is how they deal with people that is not even their customers, I am sure their customers are more than happy.Thanks Rowan Luck your help is much appreciated

The fibre line is completely unreliable. I have lost money as my business requires Internet. I’m utterly dissatisfied and so are all the owners in my complex. We all plan to move to another provider.

The accounting system and debit order system is not reliable, the accounting department is not professional and unhelpful.I received threats/warning of dis connection of the service although my account was paid in full.This is not the first accounting issue I have had and if this continues I will change service providers.
