Urban Elephant 16 on Bree

If you see this review that means some of my negative reviews - about 10% of all my reviews - are not 'filtered' by Google. Most are, however, though they all follow the guidelines. For Google the days of 'don't be evil' are long gone.Now as to this establishment: we made a booking with a late check-in and deferred payment. What subsequently happened is that they immediately charged our credit card and rejected the requested late check-in.When we politely complained about this - as their actions were completely unnecessary, and would make us lose about 5% on the charged amount because of currency conversion costs - we received this answer:If you had read our terms and conditions when you made the booking you will see that we charge on booking which is completely within the rules of booking com. You failed to read the booking conditions. We reject check in times as per booking com regulations that are not within our times. This again you failed to read. If you cancel this booking immediately you will be refunded. Your message is frankly rude when you failed to read the details provided to you by booking com. N(....) Owner"So if you still want to make a reservation here

Just wow. Great apartment (2316) with everything anyone could ever need during a holiday (from Nespresso, to toaster, to dishwasher to washingmachine). Not even talking about the pool on the 27th - wow.

Review for apartment 2416. The apartment is nicely furnished with all the appliances needed for short or long stays. The bed was comfortable, and the apartment was spotless. The balcony has gorgeous views of the V&A, Bo Kaap and Signal Hill. The parking is very convenient and secure. Location is great as you can walk to Bo Kaap and there are many breakfast/brunch places nearby. Unfortunately, there was a bit of street noise, even on the 24th floor, perhaps due to a few gaps in the sliding windows. Overall, definitely recommended!

My wife and I spent about two weeks in Cape Town for our honeymoon and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The space was clean and comfortable and the owner Niles went above and beyond to help accommodate us on our last day when we needed some help. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family in the future.

Urban Elephants is a beautiful place with the worst management.I will mention names Mike is their Manager and the staff there should be reshuffled as they do not know how to treat people.To start with on their website they do not put or mention all of their Rules so that we know to avoid visiting their building they then go off to being racist, giving white people better treatment than black people. Come at your for their mediocrity when you try to speak to them. I'd also like to specify that 3 men came walking in to our room while my sister was alone. Triggered her trauma as she felt unsafe and she has to attend therapy now.All in Mike is not good with Customer service and for me to stop posting my reviews on all platforms the RACISM NEEDS TO COME TO AN END!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at 16 on Bree. We arrived with a warm welcome from our host Jacquie who checked us in and accompanied us to our room. We felt very welcome from the start. When we walked into the apartment, we were amazed by the view over the City, Cape Town Harbour, Green Point Stadium and partly Signal Hill with the colourful Bo-Kaap on the foot of the mountain. Urban Elephant went out of their way to make our stay with a baby as convenient and comfortable as possible by organising a camper cot and considering all the small details. We really enjoyed the spectacular view and experience by the pool on the 27th floor. Overall we had an incredible stay at 16 on Bree and highly recommend Urban Elephant's service.

Incredible place to stay in the heart of the city. I stayed in apartment 2709 with my husband and 8 month old baby for 2 weeks March 2023. It couldn’t have been more perfect for a family trip. Being on the pool deck was a bonus, as we were able to enjoy the sun and the pool so easily. The apartment was beautiful, with everything we needed and more, it was a home from home with the added luxury of house keeping and helpful host. A short walk to many great restaurants, and short drive to V&A, Aquarium, Century city, Table Mountain and other tourist spots. Baby was poorly in our second week so we stayed in for a couple of days, and the Netflix and faultless wifi was much appreciated - as well as the large private balcony. My husband and I enjoyed many evenings and dinners on here once baby had gone to bed. Urban Elephant provided travel cot, high chair, baby walker, travel bath and even had a carseat for hire which was fantastic. All the staff were very friendly. We have stayed at a few hotels around Cape Town, and this apartment was by miles the best. We can’t wait to go back, would highly recommend to anyone with or without children.

My girl and I spent the weekend for my friend’s birthday. From the entrance to the rooms, everything is perfectly and well put together. The place is quiet and the atmosphere is amazing. The view, the decor and tee were well taken care of which made me not want to leave, literally.

I had a great time at Urban; the hostel is very well located and there is always something to do there
