I’m forever grateful for the entire staff at st marks. Super patient and kind.

The first time i came to st marks was like a breath of fresh air, being around people sharing similar problems and finally feeling like i wasn’t a freak. However going back there the second time was horrendous. im not sure if it was because i was in the higher care side but i was treated horribly. i was sent in after a suicide attempt and needed help. it wasn’t given. apart from having a brilliant psychiatrist, there was no decent care. i felt like a prisoner, being punished for my attempt. the nurses (obviously a generalisation as it was not all of them) were cruel. i wouldn’t recommend st marks unless it is your only option. I think the community also plays a big role in quality of stay. which obviously one can’t control.

Thankful for the wonderful professionals at St Mark's, I went in a mess and what I thought was me closing a chapter of years of trauma became the re-creation and redefining of my life. I am still on my healing journey and I advocate for Mental health

Great service

It's worse than a public hospital. I was the last week ,we were told to come back next day ,next day we came .And we were told only Sundays people are admitted, we had to wait for today still they Say there are no beds .apparently a person must harm themselves so that they can be helped .Rude staff with no help.

Worked in a pharmaceutical as: store clerk, logistics outsource clerk & receptionist.

I was in the hospital and it was a great experience nurses and occupational therapist was great and the Psychiatrist. But believe me the hospital only help when you are in there the moment you are discharge you are on your own even if you call you will never ever get help. After two weeks at home I was back to where I was what a total waste of two weeks when you get abandoned after you went home. I am disappointed because I emailed and I phoned same with psychiatrist the service you receive is poor when you are discharge.

Some nurses were very kind and generous especially the ones working in afternoon shift , my main problem was the nurses who worked for night shift , we couldn’t sleep their noise level was affecting my sleep schedule and for some reason I always woke up at 3. Bare in mind this one nurse told me I had issues and I remember crying myself to sleep the whole night , when I needed assistance because of a certain cut they did not bother to help me ,wasted a whole week of being there I felt like a laughing stock the list goes on , I wouldn’t want to go back there ever again.

I gained my strength back and their staff is super professional
