Hippo lodge restaurant
We had a few Gin & Tonics on one day and the other I promised someone the Unicorn milkshake so went back just for that, but on both days the service was very slow. I assume they are short staffed, but still we had to wait for some time even for the bill. Food and drinks are delicious though and they have two swing tables which is tables with swings instead of chairs, this was something different.

I rate the food 5 stars, but the service was terrible. The first time we went for lunch the service wasn't too bad, just rather slow, but during the one breakfast with 5 of us, 5 drink/food orders were incorrect, the bill was incorrect, and we had to get up to find our waitress several times while she was forgetting things, not checking on us, or bringing the bill after being asked a few times. I went back this morning just for a milkshake which was great, but paying the bill was a painfully slow process. This place could be amazing if they improved their service.

The best milkshake I ever had. Try the unicorn milkshake. And they have great cocktails.

The waiters are not well trained. We waited a long time for the food then we only got half of the food ice cold and after 15 min the other half. Our soft drinks came only after we had almost finished eating. The food was at least very tasty!

We had intended to eat at the Greek restaurant across the street, but there were no tables and we wanted to eat right away. We sat on the porch in the cool evening breeze and thoroughly enjoyed our beer, wine, and feta, bacon, and fig preserves pizza! It was an excellent choice.

Literally the worst service I've experienced. Waited an hour for 4 gin and tonics, food was good but took even longer than drinks and some orders were missed so we had to share rather than wait

Also called “meet and eat” restaurant. Friendly staff the food is okay but not fantastic. Choice of several good Gin’s. Steak was a little chewy. Would not go again for food but perhaps for a G&T
