Sydney Woodworkers

I ordered three doors, which I arranged to have transported to Jindabyne, from Sydney. Upon receiving the doors I was very impressed with the quality however I did notice one of the doors was the wrong size. I rang and was very surprised to receive a sincere apology and undertaking to get me the new, correct size, door immediately admitting it was their mistake. Because transport was a difficult issue where I live they immediately offered to have a staff member drive down the next day (6 hours each way!!!) to swap the doors over. I explained that there was no urgency and later organised a much less onerous delivery, for which they paid in full to my bank account the next day! Quality of service that I have not experienced in the building trade for many, many years! And I was not some big account holder - first time dealing with them but won't be the last :)

The staff came straight away to help us, they greeted us. The place had a wide range of doors to choose drom!

SWW were great. I came to Sydney Woodworkers after a horrific experience with TopDoor. TopDoor took TWELVE MONTHS to deliver my order, and several items which I paid for were MISSING when they finally arrived. Conversely, SWW took about two months to do an order 1.5x the size!SWW were very transparent and honest the whole way through. Whenever there was a delay or hiccup Michael froSWE called or emailed me to keep me informed. They provided detailed drawings and cost breakdowns. Conversely, when I was dealing with Pandora from TopDoor she was always sneakily removing items which I paid for (without providing a refund of course) and was deliberately misleading about pricing. Pandora also persistently lied to me for twelve months, constantly saying the doors were “three weeks away”.The quality of the SWW product is also far superior to that if TopDoor. I will go straight to SWW for all future projects!

DO NOT USE this company if you want quality doors. Good looking doors with alleged 7 years warranty, but the doors break and then they ‘ghost’ you when you want it corrected.Bought 2 very nice looking doors for over $15k. Delivery was 2 months later than agreed (even though they absolutely promised to deliver before Christmas).Then the doors didn’t work properly after installation (faulty designed). When fixed month later, they then didn’t work again after some moist weather (even if the seller and owner said it would work). Doors were well oiled and maintained. Many months later they finally rebuilt the doors again. They then worked for a while. After additional 6 months one door totally broke! You can at the break clearly see that the door is just glued (!) together with too short screws by the hinge. Since it is an almost 100kg door it broke after a while. Please note that we use this door twice a week so not often.I’ve complained via text, email and by calling the office. They then finally said that they would honour the 7 year warranty (but I have to pay the material!), but then nothing happens. Tried to call, email and text again but no response. Just nothing. Went to Fair Trading today and they say that legally Sydney Woodworkers have to deliver functional doors and if they break they have to fix them. Fair Trading are now running with my case. Hopefully it will be resolved rapidly plus that Sydney woodworkers will also be fined so they learn their lesson.Please note that there is even more than this text. Seller tried to trick us, faulty drawings sent which they wanted us to sign and thus be accountable for etc etc. Luckily I am an engineer so I caught it.DO NOT USE this company if you want quality doors, want delivery as agreed or if you expect good customer service.

Woodworkers custom made our front door to match the existing facade details of the property. The quality of workmanship was excellent. When one of our tradespeople chipped the glass with building equipment the team were excellent in replacing the glass and did so at a fair price.

From the website and catalogue to asking for and receiving a quote quickly to accepting and having drafting underway, this business is extremely impressive. Nothing is too much trouble and the ability to meet our needs is first class. Courteous, professional and committed to good outcomes.

We had most of our house renovated with the woodworkers joinery. Sliding doors/windows , bi-folds, fixed windows, double glazed etc.All custom made.Quality timber joinery, as I ordered.It was disappointing however that I had to end up installing the push down locks on the bi-folds, and had to install the pull handles, which involved using a template, to drill, and gouge out the necessary slot, to fix, as my builder was reluctant to damage anything!!! So it was a DIY job by me, as the woodworkers said ‘well we never do that’Wonderful…The other thing which is average, is the air tightness. Lots of breeze when the wind is blowing through the sliders even with supplied barriers.It’s not a big deal in Sydney, but we will need curtains, which I thought we might avoid. I’m sure in Queensland they would be more than adequate, but id be worried if it was really cold.All in all, quite happy though.
