Great service and very welcoming. We went through from Middelburg for my sons IDs, and we were done within 30 minutes.Would be great if their phones were working so we could call beforehand and find out if the system is working i stead of sriving all the way there for nothing - this happened when we went 2 weeks later to collect IDs.

I felt very small visiting this office. The personnel talk down to you and preach, instead of explaining in a nice manner. I travelled from Witbank as Belfast is known to be efficient. Efficient maybe, but the staff need some training in human skills, especially because we do not work in the Home Affairs sector. I am not impressed. I left feeling humiliated

I was impressed by the clean & neat office with seating for customers & a special baby's room for mothers. The staff were pleasant, professional & efficient and clearly had a working system in place. The whole process of applying for a new passport and new ID card took less than 30 minutes. Certainly the most pleasant experience I have ever had a Home Affairs Dept. Wish their colleagues from other branches were as motivated and driven to serve the public to the best of their ability.

This has to be the best Home Affairs in SA. Staff are so helpful and go the extra mile to help. They called another Home Affairs office in my home province on my behalf to resolve an old issue that was preventing me from applying for a new passport. Even with all the added complications I had completed my application and was out the door within an hour. So impressed!

System offline, which happens, no need for the staff to be rude over the phone.
