Service very good, atmosphere good, the food left a lot to be desired. Ordered chateaubriand with sace bearnaise med rare came medium looked and tasted like the fillet head, the sauce not sure what it was, bearnaise is a hollandaise sauce with a tarragon addition this was not a bearaise sauce. My wife ordered a fillet blue, came medium. Our host had a ribeye which he said was very good. As our host was paying we did not want to complain but won't be back again soon

They had a very affordable lunch special which got us through the doors. 130rand for appetizer and main. They were also very kind. The peppercorn sauce didn’t taste good and they took it off the bill and gave us dessert to make up for it. They went above and beyond to take care of us and we really appreciated the customer service. Thank you guys! The ambiance is also very nice.

Portions: excellent. Steaks cooked to perfection. Service: excellent. Only the natural meat flavour was overpowered by a strong vinegar / acid taste - possibly used as a tenderizer / marinade. This needs to be addressed

Lovely place for a date night or a business dinner or lunch. Service was good with top quality food. Prices are a bit on the high side but I suppose you get what you pay for.

Substandard food, good service. The portion sizes are abysmal and ordering anything other than a steak will likely leave you disappointed. I initially ordered the bone in pork belly, priced at R180. I received a measly portion with 1 startchy side (mash). Not only was the pork belly small, it was incredibly tough and dry. The only flavour coming from the bbq sauce that I assume was added in an attempt to save the shriveled protein. The waiter was willing to switch the meal out for me but by the time my replacement had come the rest of the table had finished their meals. I could also not share in the after dinner martini as it contains alcohol and no alternative was offered for those that do not consume alcohol.

The meat was really tasty and also the potatoes. The waitress was really helpful when asking about how meals are prepared and if they had flour or not.The only cons is that was too dark to see the food.

Nokhutula was a great waitress, but that was about it. Got wrong sides. You'd think that a restaurant that specialises in meat and explains the cooking preferences in their menu, would get it right. 2 meals, both overcooked. Then the waiters have a nice chat and laugh about the customers sending their food back, because it's not medium rare. Not worth the money.

The Hussar Grill really delivers top quality steak, and if you enjoy extra strong flavours, the blue cheese sauce is deliciously potent. There are plenty of other enticing options, and a great ambience. I will always have good memories of this spot!!

Now I l know were to go again if I want the biggest racks of ribs! Sweet, tender succulent. Lamb shank...couldn't eat a third of it...their portions are worth every cent, very generous. Enjoyed every bit of our meal! Wish they had a slightly bigger space...my uncle wasn't too thrilled about us sitting right by the door. Beautiful place though.
