Paradise Private Zen Studios (Holiday Accommodation)

Simply superb. Incredible atmosphere and tastefully decorated. The lodges are original, gorgeous and spacious. We had an excellent stay.

Both paradise in setting and zen in tranquility, my husband and I loved being suspended on a high hill overlooking the Knysna lagoon and distant heads. Our unit is the only one with a bath and a shower, so well appointed (the mosquito net proved essential) and utterly brilliant in design integrity. We enjoyed the sheltered pool and booked the braai area for our last night. Ellie and Francois are unobtrusive but helpful hosts.

TO SAY THIS PLACE IS AMAZING IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!We were made to feel special and like part of the family from the moment we arrived. Elmarie & Francois really take hospitality to the next level. From breathtaking views right from the comfort of your bed to abundance of complimentary treats and tranquil surrounds everything about this place is perfect. It would take too long to list all the goodness that this place has to offer in a review, you have to go and experience it for yourself.

The hosts were wonderful, upon arrival we were welcomed with drinks and shown to our studio with a marvelous view of the knysna heads. The stay was absolutely pleasant and peaceful.Every little thing was accommodated for.

Paradise Private Zen Studios in Knysna is highly recommended.What an awesome place, situated high against the hills of Knysna with a awesome view that no camera can capture, only the God given eye and brain can really enjoy it.The studios are stylishly furnished and everything you need is available and of the best.We planned to enjoy at least one night's dinner at a local restaurant, but due to the view and scenery at Paradise Private Studio we rather decided to stay at our venue and closed each evening with a braai after enjoying the sunset  from our private deck overlooking Knysna and the Heads with wine and snacks.Even the braaiwood is freely supplied.Thanks to Francios and Ellie for letting us enjoy your gem of a place.Your friendliness and hospitality is of the best. Well done.There is a lot to enjoy in the area.During our stay we visited The Saturday Markets in Sedgefield, George, browsed around in local shops and enjoyed the train from Hartenbos to Glentana etc.This was a trip always to remember good memories and friends made.

If you are looking for a completely non-commercial, private, relaxing experience in knysna, this is the place to go. The studios are mostly wooden structures, giving them a lovely smell and cosy feeling. You get the best views of both the town and the lagoon from your balcony. The sunrise from the comfort of your bed is magnificent. If you're not keen on heights, there is a cabin that offers a comfortable stay with the view of the garden instead. The accommodation is family friendly but very well suited for couples. The 'living' roof and bamboo-rich garden adds a calm aesthetic and the sauna and hot tub can be booked for private sessions. The self-catering facilities are very well equipped with all the cutlery and crockery you could need. In comparison to many other self-catering facilities, these units are superb. Access to parking is easy and all the units lead out onto a wooden walkway. Very secure. The hosts, Ellie and Francois, are very welcoming and informative. It feels like you're going home to family. Do try the local pizzeria, Chatters, for some of the best woodfired pizza delivered to the property.A superb stay and most definitely worth returning to.

Upon arrival at Paradise Private, you step into a magical and mystical world that makes you feel like you are truly in paradise. The unique wooden design of this home and the individual studios give ultimate privacy once you step inside them. The Tidal Studio provides breathtaking views of the Knysna Lagoon and Heads, not just from the kitchen, but also from your private balcony and from your bed.Have sundowners on the living roof as you enjoy a magical sunset. Before or even after dinner you can enjoy a hot tub session or enjoy the cedar sauna that is wood fired. It is strategically positioned in what feels like, a little forest. It’s perfect to help you unwind for a good night’s rest. Once turned in for the night, it feels like you are floating in the sky. The town lights become alive at night, and therefore one does not even want to close the bedroom blinds.The self-catering unit comes fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. The attention to detail was well appreciated, as well as the personal touches.Your superhosts, Francois and Ellie, have been residents of Knysna for many decades, and are both valuable sources of information regarding Knysna and surrounds that will help you enjoy your stay even more.Paradise Private Zen Studios come highly recommended, and we will definitely be retuning here for our dose of Zen.

It's a VERY neat, quiet and stunning place! We slept in the ZEN room with GORGEOUS view of the whole of Knysna from our bed! Friendly hosts welcomed us and made us feel at home very quickly! I will definitely recommend this place!

This is one of the most beautiful secret gems of Knysna. We have been traveling the country extensively and this is by far one of our top stays. The studios are beautifully designed, so so so well equipped and the views are amazing. Ellie and Francois are such wonderful, warm hosts. We will be back - we can’t wait!!!
