I have finally found a new home for my hair after my old hair salon shut down because of economic effects brought on by COVID-19.SonnyBoy is attentive, professional and talented. I look great because of what he did to my hair.

I’ve been a regular client since 2016 and will forever remain loyal to SonnyMagic. Sonny is an incredible hairstylist with a wealth of knowledge and creativity. Most times he creates styles for me to try and I’ve been more than pleased (and complimented everywhere I go) every time.

The best hair stylist in town! Sonny is excellent and runs a professional establishment. He does a great job with natural hair, weaves and haircuts. I've been with him for over 10 years and I've never looked back. He is Brilliant visit his Salon he does all hair types!

I went in for a relaxer, treatment and style and walked out with just a relaxer and treatment almost THREE hours later! Would definitely not recommend if you are not known. Also, I realized when I got home that I had been charged the full price!

I had an appointment at 13:00 on 28th Dec but was only done with my hair by 15:45. I waited for around 40 mins before Sonny started cutting my hair. That should have made me walk out.I am very unhappy with the haircut I got versus what I asked for. I came in with natural long hair and showed a pic of the haircut I wanted but instead my hair was cut so much shorter then what I requested. The lady who dyed the top part of my hair was even asking f she should rinse it off as if I would know when its time.I came before in 2017 and was content with the haircut I got so was so disappointed to have gotten different service this time around. I should have trusted the first few bad reviews I saw. It's my birthday this Saturday and I don't even know what to do with my hair as the back was cut so short that I can't even do braids. Very disappointing, will never go back

After searching for a hair salon that offers a professional hair care service in Johannesburg for an entire century I cannot express in enough words how overjoyed I was to find SonnyMagic! My experience with so called ethnic hair salons" previously had been miserable with not only bad customer service but a one-size- fits-all approach to hair care and general annoyances. SonnyMagic was recommended to me and I booked an appointment online - professional and reliable online service (this is important for me to note because the first point of contact with brand was so efficient - my appointment time was confirmed and received reminder.....what a difference from hair salons that dont keep time and appointments)Sonny was able to assess my hair texture/ condition and propose treatment /styling that was absolutely perfect for me - I went in eith the intent to relax my hair which I have kept natural for over 2 decades - I was desperate for a 'new look'. The result of what he proposed - 'texturizing and a cut' was absolute magic! No irritation (it felt like a head spa)

I will never use this hair salon again!R1500 later for a relax and pixie and all I walked out with was a badly burnt scalp, and uneven haircut. Not to mention that it took more than 3 hours for them to do my hair and the hairstylist was consuming alcohol while doing my hair!
