This is a wonderful organization, I recently revisited on my trip to Pretoria. Special shout out to Pierre who took a chance on me and hired me years ago and Lusungu who was the best mentor an intern could ever ask for!

I visited a Motor Dealership today looking for a car to buy and while checking the vehicles, a huge dog came out of its Kennel and chased me and my Son. we managed to climb on top of one of the vehicle on the show stand and one of the Sales person shouted at us, complaining that we are damaging his car. He took almost ten minutes shouting and by then the dog was rounding the car trying to bite us. After a while his colleagues called the dog and took it back to its cage. Can I open a case against a dealership or not ? or can I sue the dealership ?

I was received well and assisted in a very friendly atmosphere. I wanted to have my driver's licence certified as a true copy of the original and it was done while engaging in a conversation. I visited the Pretoria Office at Kutwanong Democracy Centre at corner Visagie and Prinsloo Streets.I have come to value their services to the asylum seekers and refugee communities in various ways. They represent a beacon of hope for the asylum seekers and refugees. Their services to these and other communities are free and hence are within reach of the poor and marginalised. They also have their Johannesburg offices on the Fourth Floor at 87 De Korte Street in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.If I could influence more funders to fund them to assist more vulnerable persons I would appeal to them to give Lawyers for Human Rights more funds so that they can continue and expand the sterling work they do.

Real help from real Lawyers who care. Legal representation is free but they treat you as though you are paying.

These are the first people we went to who actually knew what was going on and are willing to help us!! They were a bit tricky to find but the entrance to their offices are next to puma. If you can make a donation towards the amazing work they do, please do!
