Lonehill Park
Further update February 2023:Dam is now a muddy puddle! Dunno where the fish are living. Those that weren't washed downstream, that is. Water probably close to 2m below original levels after dam wall not fortified timeously. It took 2 months to try and save the dam wall. LRA and City of Johannesburg dropped the ball here big time!Update: the dam wall has been compromised and bridge is now closed. Spillway underwashed and pillars toppling. Dec 22.Kids, dogs, families. Even fishing. Great morning and evening place for walks.

A really great spot for a Sunday picnic. The lawns are really well maintained and the park is extremely clean. The park has quite a few visitors. Little ones learning to ride a bike. Dogs chasing balls. New couples sharing a bench and looking out on the water. A lovely day out in nature for every member of the family.

Great as always. The park is in a good condition. The grass is dry but it's understandable since we just came out of winter. We met friendly and kind parents and children. Our son enjoyed his time in the park. He also got to play with some dogs and chatted with the dog owners.

Lonehill Park
One of the best kept parks. There is a beautiful pond, the grass and gardens are well kept and large signs asking people to obey the law and keep their dogs on a lead. It is conveniently situated next to the shopping centre, and next to the nature reserve where dogs are not allowed, they're only allowed in the park itself. There is even a loan-a-book-box which is rare in a place like Johannesburg.

Lonehill Park
A lovely small park serving the neighbourhood and surrounding areas. Great place to picnic , relax, read, walk the dogs. The Lobehill koppies are now closed for the winter, opening again in September. The Dam is unfortunately a shadow of its past state due to the break in the dam wall from heavy rains. Repairs should commence in time for it to be restored by summer.

Safe for the family to come and have a picnic and play cricket. Lots of residents walk their dogs in the park. Jungle gym area is kept clean and tidy for the kids. Area is generally well maintained.... No fishing allowed

It is such an awesome place for a picnic. It's a dog friendly park which I appreciate because I am a dog person. Great atmosphere.

The park is lovely for kids and adults alike. There's visible security on the grounds. The pond is being cleaned so the ducks and fish are not as visible. But it still a great place for an outing with the kids.

Cool chilled park. Plenty of space for a relaxing picnic or a walk. Park has a play area for kids and is dog friendly. Too many Hadada ibis roaming around.
