Absolutely loved this place.The best chicken liver starter I have ever had before! A complete new and fresh taste.The crisy squid with a ginger caramel, oh boy such a great dish.Fire place roaring so cosy.

What do I say abt this restaurant. Their menu hardly had a veg option and the chef himself came out and checked with us our requirements and made something which was not on the menu. Loved our dinner experience at this place

Really great food! I was a little hesitant to try the ostrich but it was probably one of the best things we had there. The ravioli and duck were also very good! Definitely recommend.

Service friendly and our drinks; Cola tonic and strawberry milkshake; came quickly after we were seated.Had the Hake and chips and a burger with salad.Batter of hake was delicious with a litte bite in the taste. Nice crispy chips. Tartare sauce more a watery mayonaise with chopped gherkins, actually store bought Sandwich spread would've tasted better.Burger party was juicy and tender with bread buns nicely toasted. Tasty Greek salad.Enjoyed the covered patio overlooking the garden with the cat roaming on one side and the lounge with the fireplace on the other.

What a sweet little restaurant. Charming staff . I only had one course but it was skewered lamb. It was really delicious. Good beer. Lights kept going on and off so turned on the phone torch! Very atmospheric. Thanks for fitting us in as we certainly were not going to eat in the Surval Hotel as so grotty.

Rather disappointing, the menu looks great and mouth watering. Our lamb chops arrived without some of the mentioned sides and 3 tasteless dried apricots is not ‘drunken apricots’. The dessert also not as per menu, supermarket ice cream accompanying a mediocre tart tatin with a sprinkling of cinnamon is not cinnamon ice cream.

What a nice experience. We had a young lady taking care of our table. One of the best, careful attention we ever had. Ambient fine and good care of details. Food very good and wine selection fair. Will go back

A lovely find. We don't normally go for fine cuisine but the food here was both elegant and unpretentious. Like most restaurants we visited in SA, the prices were more than reasonable and the service excellent. the back garden away from the main road was a very tranquil setting.

Great spot for some upscale food and when you want to eat fancy! Try and make a reservation for the back area. If you happen to be stuck in the front of the building and it’s not busy, the staff take a while to check up on things. The food quality is good but if you want a medium-rare steak, order it medium. The ostrich carpaccio was delicious!
