Adventure Kayaking
I went to Vanderkloof with my kayak in January 2023 with the intention of doing my own multi-day trip on the dam. I approached Gavin of Adventure Kayaking and even though I wasn't going on one of his commercial trips (this time) he was extremely generous with his assistance, advice and hospitality. He pointed out camping spots, told me what sort of weather I could expect and where the rhino and tiger sanctuaries are - all good things to know! He also helped me get onto and off the water. This made sure my solo trip was safe and very enjoyable. Thank you Gavin!

What an amazing trip! Kayaking down the orange river is something I have always wanted to do, and there are no better people to go with than Adventure Kayaking. Gavin and Steve took such great care of us from start to finish, and we felt very safe on the water with them. If you are interested in birds then Steve is your guy! The food was excellent (prepared by Lorna) and hospitality regarding tents, packing of boats and overall inclusion of activities was great! We had so much fun & highly recommend.

What a legendary operation. Everything is so well planned and executed. I felt super safe on the river with Gavin and Steve as our guides. The food was amazing, and the campsites we stayed at and breathe taking views were EPIC! I will definitely be coming back with another crew. 6 star rating from me!

Epic experience! The guides are awesome, the food is great. Not for the faint hearted. Everyone should experience the Orange river like this

We had an experience of a lifetime. Gavin and Steve were great guides and safety was a high priority! We were totally inexperienced and not so fit but the trip was awesome. Camp sites were beautiful and the food excellent. I would give you 10stars if possible.

The name says it all. Thank you to Gavin and Steve for an excellent trip and making sure we were safe and enjoying it. We had a blast. This trip is a must for close knit families! After having to postpone our trip three times due to unforeseen circumstances , Lorna was so understanding and patient. Thank you Lorna for understanding. A BIG thank you for feeding my tripe with your delicious food.

We did the kayaking trip on the dam. It was an unforgettable experience. The gear and food are well thought out and you don't need to be super fit to have a great time. I look forward to coming back for the river trip in a year or two!

Another fantastic trip organised by Adventure Kayaking. Gavin, Steve and Lorna put on a five star trip for 3 days on the Orange river. Highly recommended for anyone that seeks a relaxing time with some exciting rapids that are easy enough for all to paddle through.
