Warm reception. Comfortable bed. Decent bathrooms. Everything you need for a halfway stop. But also more. The host clearly has the attention to detail and focus on service excellence that is missing in so many places these days. This is a spot I would very happily recommend anyone stay at.

I've had a love affair with Hanover for years. This year we went to see the Lesser Kestrels and they did not disappoint. I've slept in other guesthouses in town but have now found my home at AshTree. Danie, Jeanne and Tannie Baby are the most hospitable, caring and genial hosts. Despite the heat and Eskom loadshedding we had a wonderful time. The whole guesthouse feels like home. No request was too much. I adored the stoep kuiers" with all the hosts. Jeanne

Safe and tranquil. A lovely stay over spot. Home-made biscuits and bedside chocolate snack a pleasing touch. Just get rid of those bulky white wardrobes which spoil an artistically created tranquil room

Very neat place to stay. Perfect as a halfway stop between Jhb and Cape Town. Owner and host very accommodating. The stars at night beautiful.

We stopped on our way to Cape Town at around 17:30 and were received warmly and promptly. The rooms are cosy and clean and there's even a breakfast station for early risers!

Pleasantly Surprised!!Thorougly enjoyed our stay. The owner is very friendly. Everything was clean and tidy and our bed was so comfy!You will def see us again!

We stopped here on our way back from Cape Town. We arrived after 18:00 and was very well received by the owner.Do not let the outside look discourage you. The inside is very nicely upgraded with everything you will need. The beds had electric blankets and an electric heater was also supplied.The bed was very nice and we woke up refreshed the next morning.The Complimentary morning cerial was lovely.I can strongly recommend anybody to support this overnight stop.
