Friedman & Cohen in the Strand has been here for as long as I can remember. Great variety of women, men and kids cloths, shoes and fven a kitchen, braai, bedroom and entertainment are section upstairs. Also, be sure to visit the restaurant on the second floor!

Every town needs a Friedman & Cohen. The shop has something for everyone. The small restaurant has always been constant in it's good food, service and affordability...with a view! Thank you F&C. Reminding us of 'the good old days'...how it used to be, but here you are: constant and still giving us the 'good old days', although staying on par with all the different brands and providing for our different budgets.

First time at this historic and old fashioned department store. It has a lovely selection of well priced clothing for men and women and upstairs a very good home section. The layout is very old fashioned, so take the time to really look at what is on offer, you will be surprised. The staff and very friendly and offer to assist you .

Really love stopping in at this store. It makes me very nostalgic because it is still a proper department store with a tea room. The kind my Ouma would take me shopping in and they were always chic just like her. Did I mention they have the best Lemon Meringue. They have everything you could need from stunning clothing to kitchenware, camping goods, sports goods, perfect gifts and more. Great quality merchandise. After shopping you can head upstairs to the tea room to relax and enjoy a beautiful view looking out over the ocean. Still one of my timeless favourites and we go back again and again.

They had exactly what I was looking for. You can have a meal at the cafetria-drink your coffee, rethink your shopping and finalize your transaction. Quality stock. They will get it if it is not on the floor. Very good service.

My best shoe shopping shop ever ! They believe in genuine, quality and good shoes. They also give their customers the benefits by taking back shoes that have fitting problems or damages within a short space of time. I love their orderly environment and awesome service.
