Beautiful venue. Staff are very welcoming and very friendly. They catered for our every need (including our wide variety of dietary ones) Rooms were comfortable and clean. Very warm with heaters and heated blankets for those who feel the cold.

Carol and her ladies made our stay for the weekend super comfortable. The house is cool and quiet and peaceful. Lovely lapa to braai and party in and swimming pool. We will be back!

A beautiful old building restored meticulously after the big earthquake in 1969. Located at the one end of the historic Church Street in the town of Tulbagh. The house sits on a magnificent plot surrounded by generous gardens to include a swimming pool. The main suites are generous in proportion with a great ambience. Try to make time for reading in front of the fire. Breakfast in the expansive kitchen is a unique experience. The staff ensures that you feel at home. Parking is available on the premises. Take a short walk down Church Street to find several dining experiences and other tourist attractions.

Has potential to improve as rooms spacious with high ceilings, comfortable and clean. Carol as a hostess is welcoming, sharing and advising what to do and what is new in the valley and giving us space to enjoy the beautiful garden and pool area, sadly this area was also being used by staff and friends swimming, drinking and smoking.

What a place!!!Visited Wittedrift Manor House in February 2022, during a hard time of life. Carol had the human understanding and empathy which tells all about Carol and the Manor House. Having a travel business background, I have to say that Wittedrift is a jewel only 90 minutes from Cape Town! Is it fancy? Not is in a modern world. Does it have soul? YES Do you miss anything? NO. An Old classic Cape Dutch build with history, charm, and classic furniture with all you need. Imagine having your breakfast in the kitchen were Carol makes the breakfast in a setting that I never seen before as well as a nightcap after a great day in the area, of course also in the kitchen. “Down the road” Carol operates Readers Restaurant. Again, in a classic setting just a short stroll from Wittedrift Manor House. Honest, good food served in a relaxed way, no rush and fair priced. A great plus is that herbs are delivered from the local community garden, all fresh and organic. I know where I will be heading next time in SA.

Carol, who manages the guest house, has to be the most hospitable host I have ever encountered on all my travels. She made the whole stay enjoyable, comfortable and relaxed. And organise a glass of wine by the swimming pool - nothing is too much trouble for her. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished. Sharon was polite and friendly and the room was clean. Lisa was willing, over friendly and inappropriate dressed and behaviour

Wittedrift Manor is a one of a kind experience in the heart of Tulbagh in the Tulbagh valley. Whilst the city is known for its ancient houses in Church street, the entire valley is definitely worth a visit. As is the Wittedrift Manor House. A warm and cosy place with Carol and PJ as your hosts. It is a family-like place with an exceptional Interieur and a place which feels like home in an instant. It is an experience you may not have had before - and experience which stucks with me and puts a smile on my face everytime I think of it.
