I just want to say thanks for the good service we received at the Gateway store. All the staff were very helpful and the provided us with some guidance as we are a bit clueless. Definitely the best store we have been to in terms of baby shopping. Keep it up!

The customer service at this store deteriorates each time I visit, which is at least once a week.I usually forget about the sad interaction both my husband and I receive from staff once we leave the store, but this week seemed to have been one for the books.We visited the store twice in this week and on both days we got dismal service from the people we interacted with. One of the staff members of this store told my husband he was trained not to be friendly to customers( is that right?!). Another staff member stationed at the customer service counter, seemed very uninterested with my presence there and when I asked her if she’s busy, her response was a very bleak, “do you need something?” Why would I be standing at customer service if I didn’t need something?!From my understanding, Toy R Us, is supposed to be a family store, which means there are supposed be staff that are happy to be there as their interacting with parents with babies/toddlers who are excited to be in the store. However it seems like 95% of the staff at the gateway branch are very unhappy to be working in an environment that requires you to be friendly.

Very large selection of toys from puzzles to baby ware, Babies to dinosaurs. This place does get busy. The prices can really get out of hand so watch the kids. There are some really good educational stuff as well. They have a covid19 protocol in place. Return policy was quite nice. Just allowed me to spend more money. The location is out of the way which is great so you don't pass it on your way with the groceries and kids end up forcing you in. The store is clean and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Really unprofessional and unknowledgeable service . So disappointing when you're spending alot of money in the store and the staff are not willing to help in the slightest . No supervisor or manager gets involved either

This is possibly the best toy store that I've ever been to in South Africa. The shop is very big and it is very well packed and arranged. The service was also excellent and the broken gift that we took back was quickly replaced. The Babies R Us is part of the same shop, but a separate section.

hello, i live in Maputo. I came to Durban for 3 days last week. I bought a chicco brand stroller from your store. I wanted to see the product while it was there. but the store employee said that if I open it, I have to buy it and he didn't let me. I was going to buy it already and I got it. anyway. After arriving in Maputo, I opened the box. there was no holding device that should be in front of the baby after sitting. How can you compensate for this? They said it was under warranty. I'm out and have a warranty card.

Very helpful staff. The kids love going there for the in store entertainment. Loved the My Little Pony" characters that interacted with the kids. Always a pleasure going there!!"

I had the most amazing shopping experience on Sunday, this past weekend. I was welcomed at the door of the store by a lovely young lady, handed a catalogue and wished a happy shopping experience. The floor staff that I asked for assistance were friendly and more than happy to take me to the items that I needed to look at, and your till staff were equally friendly & helpful.What a refreshing change to feel so important" as a simple shopper.Well done Toys R Us - your customer service is impeccable."

During the Christmas rush, we took the kids an after a long time, my son finally finds a car, which was marked R179.90 on the shelf, but when we get to the till, we are told that its now R399.00. When i showed a picture of the price the Assistant store manager tells me, I don't care'that you have a picture
