Completely changing the atmosphere of De Rust, this outstanding restaurant is not to be missed. Chef Ilse is a pro, catering for vegan requirements effortlessly. Mushroom risotto to die for, peanut blondie dessert, we were in heaven! Works of art, a cosy fire, and the generous and charming hosts Andries and Jan made for a really memorable luncheon. Sunday buffet is not to be missed but the weekday menu is also superb.

Very classy and friendly atmosphere!! Lovely breakfast. Well worth a stop. Awesome olive oils , jams and chutneys for sale. Highly recommended!

Every detail in this newly opened local has been thought of. The interior and exterior areas are beautifully decorated and food and drinks taste very good. A perfect stop en route to Meiringspoort or after it!

Excellent food! Had the full-house breakfast, which includes any coffee or homemade cordial @R120. Comfortable, airconditioned sitting area, surrounded by beautiful art pieces. What a joy it was to eat here. Highly recommended.

I live in De Rust, and well ...what can I say that has not been said. Owners extremely attentive and professional. Chef Ilse's food exceptional (especially the tomato soup with cheese seedloaf toastie). Staff always eager and professional. If you are looking for something exceptional -service, taste and experience wise.....go to Pluim, Schoeman Street, De Rust. Lovely food, people and atmosphere. Beautifull art, lovely gift shop with home made preserves to die for, fire place and delicious food. What more do you need right now! Please book in advance for Sunday Buffet - high in demand. Go there. Well done team Pluim.
