The cottage was perfectly situated and had a lovely little view from the stoop. It was a bit dark inside, and had a musty smell, which is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.

Fine dining at its best. A real treat. You are treated like a queen with silver and Chrystal, gentle music, warm fires and food that could compete with the best restaurants in South Africa. You have to book a day ahead though. My favourite restaurant by far!! Plus you can stroll through the exquisite garden before your meal.

We have been to Hogsback many times. But my family has never experienced more beautiful grounds and forestry. The hosts are amazing aswel.

Our very last minute and rushed visit had us luckily snatching a room cancellation at the Nutcracker.Would loved to have stayed longer - next time.Stunning little part of the world.

Will DEFINITELY be going back to this olace again. Beautiful gardens, the most amazing food and the cutest room including a fireplace! The owner is very nice and makes you feel very comfortable.
