Stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Kgalagadi national park every day. The perfect base if you not able to get place in the Park, it is literally 5mins from the Twee Rivieren gate and the road reasonably good, odd potholes here and there.We stayed in a family chalet no 13 , 2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed and other 2 three quarter beds. There was a covered braai area on the patio with an elevated view over a farm and great sunrise views. The only complaint was the water, it is very salty, you cannot drink it and not great when showering. It's a problem across the whole area as we checked with guys in the park and they said the same thing. Rest of facilities all that you need , no WiFi though except in the restaurant and there is a TV if you need itThere is a shop and a restaurant on site. The shop has most necessities but some fruit and veggies not the freshest. There is an option to check shop at Twee Rivieren as well. We ate at the restaurant 1 night and service as well as food was very goodAlso some hikes around the property and some wildlife. We had a visit from an African wildcat a few evenings and even an eland was grazing outside our window one evening. There is a resident bird , not sure what it is though, similar to an emu/alpaca, quite a friendly character

Great overnight if no accommodation can be found in the park or on your way into the park if you arriving late and heading straight up to Mata-mata or similar. Camp site is nothing to look at but how nice is it to have my own warm shower and loo! Very clean and super comfortable. The restaurant is well appointed and so is the shop. Staff are friendly. The food is well presented and the pizzas look great! Bummed I didn’t order one!

Location was great, super close to the park, with good shop and restaurant. Rooms were ok, relatively smart but the second room in the family room as a bit small. Views at night and across the road very good.

Excellent stay with unforgettable views over the dry river bed and Botswana on the otherside. Stylish chalets with everything you need. Even the camping spots are very private and have their own ablution facilities each. The Black Mane Butcher and Grill restaurant as well as the shop offers more than enough and really tasty food in the middle of the Kalahari.

We will definitely come back. We received the best service from the moment we arrived. We had steak for dinner and it was so good. Will definitely recommend. So happy we could not get camping site for two nights at Twee Rivieren.

Kgalagadi Lodge is an oasis in the desert, 8 km from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in South Africa. The lodge is family - owned, has the most friendly and interactive owner and provides 4 star chalets, shop, restaurant, landing strip, 4X4 vehicle hire and more.We had ice cold drinks while using the WiFi doing some paperwork in the Aircon restaurant. Come and check out the park and sleep over in the lodge. It will be your best experience in the desert environment.
