Addo African Home, Restaurant & Safari

We had an excellent two day stay. Mostly because of the personal service of both the management and the staff. Henri helped us check in and was very helpful. Such a good spokesperson of the hotel. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and had a really cool African interieur. But the best part of our stay was definitely THE FOOD. We got to know their chef Wonder. He was zo charming and nice. We had a lovely conversation in which i dropped i was Marocain. He offered to make a marocain tajine for dinner and he actually did a better job then most people. His food was excellent and i hope Addo African Home dont lose such a good soul who loves to cook!The next day we had an amazing time with Wanili who took us on safari. It was very well organised and they prepared a lovely typical african barbecue for lunch.On our last day the security guard noticed that our tire was flat due to a nail in it. He immediately helped us with installing the reserved tire. We were so grateful!Overal an excellent experience and we highly recommend others to visit this place. We really enjoyed our two night stay here in the off season. There was a very pleasant, relaxed vibe, with the staff seeming to work together harmoniously. Excellent French-inspired food in the associated restaurant, although we would have appreciated another vegetarian main choice for those of us staying more than one night. This was a perfect base for our explorations of Addo Elephant National Park. Can't wait to come back!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Your staffs service are excellent. The free coffee station and lovely biscuits is a nice touch, let a guest feel welcome. New large showers in the rooms also excellent. I will defnitely recommend my friends to come here.

We had a wonderful stay during our honeymoon. The room and garden are very nice. We definitely recommend the restaurant, the food was amazing. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that there was not a lot to do in the neighborhood except for self-drives in Addo Elephant Park (at least during the period of our stay).

Beautiful and relaxing location with an outstanding nature. The perfect place to take a break!The restaurant (a cooking school) is exceptional, food is delicious and refined, the menu is awesome for vegetarians.A natural swimming pool lost in the vegetation allows to relax after a long day on the park (possibility to have a safari organized by the hotel).We had the opportunity to stay in 2 different rooms - The Rondavel and Lodge Room (we wanted to enjoy an extra night) and we were so glad we did it! The decoration is really a bonus.The employees (and owner) are super friendly (some speak French!) and ready to help.The place really worth a night stay or/and a dinner stop

Great stay, would definitely recommend. Also the safari was great. We stayed here for 3 days. The restaurant is also delicious, but the options are a little bit limited. If you decide to eat here multiple times you might run into getting the same food again.Please note, you can go on Safari via Addo African home ( A full day or half day tour) the ranger takes you from Addo African home to Addo Elephant Park about 15 minutes drive.

We stayed here in September 2022 to celebrate our honeymoon. It was truly an amazing experience and far exceeded expectations. The staff and facilities were better than other places we stayed in South Africa that were all 4-5 star hotels/guesthouses. We were welcomed by Henry who had our room covered in flower petals and candles with a welcome tray of fresh fruits and a cold bottle of sparkling wine. Very thoughtful! The breakfast was very good and highly recommend paying the little extra to have it. The restaurant was closed for dinner because it was the off season, so we went to dinner in town with our safari driver which was arranged by the hotel staff.We used the Addo African Home for everything from PE airport pickup and drop off, breakfast, full day safari with lunch and snacks, and dinner. All of it was exceptional service and quality. Highly recommend everything.

Nice place and beautifull room. Diner at the restaurant was okay, but to be honest not what we expected. Breakfast was way overpriced (R360 for two small dishes, a coffee and a tea).

Nice place to stay and from there visiting the elephant park. The restaurant serves good food for dinner lunch or breakfast. The only thing is that the railway can make some noise now and then.

WiFi didn't work, our apartment smelled like rotten eggs due to the shower/sink. Location is ok to visit Addo elephant park.
