If you're in Cape Town and looking to experience the beautiful scenery and get in a good ride, I can't recommend Cycling Friends highly enough. I recently booked a 60-mile (100 km) road ride and had an amazing time. CF provided a well-maintained carbon road bike that fit me and ride like a dream. I brought my pedals, and they were able to rent me a helmet. My guide, Vuyo Mavuya, was a great companion for the ride through the hills with our Cape Town. He set the right pace for me and was always on the lookout for traffic and road hazards. And after the ride, they have a convenient bistro for a drink or bite to refuel.

Awesome designed store, awesome bikes, awesome concept!The concept of this store or however you can call it is really unique. You can sit and drink a good coffee or have some delicious food while you are looking at the exclusive bikes in the store. All bikes are bikes of the german manufacturar Strock and their design is pretty amazing.And if you have finished your coffee you can ask the owner or store manager for a bike rental. Maybe on your own or a guided tour. We (two friends) did both, one guided Mountainbike Tour biking around the Table mountain and one racebike-trip on our own. The bikes are crazy.. Fast, eyecatching design and high-quality.And after the Coffee and the bike rental you can then decide to buy a bike.. Of course they are quiet expensive but worth the money. A big pro is that you not only buy a bike there and you will be left alone afterwards. The shop also have a repair and maintanance service which gives you the advantage of enjoying your bike as long as possible.So all in all i can just recommend this store and concept. It gives you the chance to do proffesional cycling also while your holidays in cape town. But even when you are not on holidays or you have no time for a bike-trip: If you like cycling- go there. If you love cycling- go there immeditialy.

Great bikes to rent or buy. Knowledgeable staff, all of them bike enthusiasts. Offers good coffee and tasty food as well. Pleasant to hang out and chat about bikes.

Friendly professional service. Great team. Sorted me out for a road bike hire in no time with good banter. Even put ice in my water bottle!

This is a really great bicycle shop. They sell, rent and fix bikes. They rent very good quality bicycles , the brand is Storck. I think it is a German brand. They have an excellent workshop that are very proficient and have a great attention to detail. The shop also has a coffee shop, restaurant and bar and a lot of people hang out and work on their laptops and enjoy the free wi-fi, coffee, food and good vibe.

I have rent my bike there for the CT cycle tour. The STORCK bike are premium carbon fiber bikes. German quality, at its best.The food was amazing as well, so I went there multiple times for breakfast and lunch. Cycling friends even had some cool events with live music and food. Really amazing place with nice people and great to eat.

Great service from Max and team, very friendly and helpful and very well priced. The gravel bikes we used were great - in really good condition and great quality. Will definitely use them again.

Exceeded my expectations! Best road biking rental option in Cape Town.First of all the bikes are of highest quality and brand new, for me very important especially when riding a bike that's not mine with up to 60kmh downhill in a place that is not familiar.Stefan and Max were both super nice and helpful. They set up the bike perfectly for me, gave me two spare tubes, a pump and some tools and also helped me out with finding the best route. They are both super experienced and are cycling/have cycled professionally.On top of all that the Storck store also offers great coffee, milk shakes and food in a co-working-like relaxed atmosphere. Not sure why I had problems finding this place on Google, luckily I passed by and found this cyclers' gem.Big thanks for an amazing trip

Rented a bike here. It was great! Storck road bike, very nice!! Had no problems (except chain would slip off the outer ring at times). Highly recommend, and will rent from this place again. Staff are nice and friendly.Bring your own helmet and pedals! (Or borrow them for a cost.) The coffee is great too.
