Aristata Seweweekspoort

We stopped here while out on a day trip through Seweweekspoort to see what it looked like and were quite amazed, it's like a small oasis in tye Karoo. We didn't stay over but the gentleman was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and showed us around and the facilities and we would love to stay there in the future.

Rustic comfort, perfect quietude, wonderful rugged rock formations, fascinating geology - couldn't ask for more!

We could not have asked for a better plan to spend Valentine's Day. An exquisite setting, great accommodation and fabulous all round. Will definitely be back every chance we get!

Very welcoming hosts and amazing getaway in the middle of seweweekspoort 4x4 trails, they offer 2 cottages that sleep two people and the main house that sleeps 6 and more can be accommodated

What a slice of heaven, hidden in the middle Karoo! Will be exceptional when wifi is operational as currently no connectivity at all. Basic facilities, pristine green lawns and exceptional swimming pool make the temperatures so bearable. Night star gazing is fabulous- loved every minute here. Pieter and Lena are very approachable and keep the property and houses in tip-top shape.

What a weekend!!!! We have driven past Aristata so many times and have always wanted to spend a few nights. So we booked. Booking went smoothly and well communicated by both Anneen and Hakon. We were told that we would be met by Pietie. So we arrived at the gate, Pietie standing at the open gate with a huge, warm welcoming smile. That is all we needed. We immediately knew that this weekend was going toe be great. Pietie showed us our unit and his wife Liana approached us to come and greet and make sure that the unit was up to standard. And it was. Clean and everything we needed. Gas induced hot water and stove and Solar powered lights and even the fridge. Everything in great condition.Did we enjoy our visit? Hakon and Anneen, you certainly have it all in place.The lawns, fruit trees, proteas in bloom and birds wherever you look. The Klein Swartberg MAJESTICALLY swallows you in. What a setting. What an incredible self catering guesthouse. There is an amazing man managing the property with his family. Aristata is clean, and neat, well equipped. It has everything you could possibly need with two onsuite twin bed bedrooms and a double sleeper couch in the lounge dinning room with its own toilet.A great fireplace and incredible crystal clear spring fed swimming pool.The wildlife and scenic beauty of Seweweekspoort pass is something you won't soon forget.

An incredible setting in the Seweweekspoort pass between the R62 and Laingsburg. Unpretentious off the grid accommodation, fully equipped with everything you might need including huge, lush green lawns and a magical spring fed swimming pool.

Well well well, what an amazing place to be totally off the grid. No cellphone reception no phone calls no social media!!! Want a break? This is surely the one of the most amazing off the grid places I've ever been. Crystal clear water out of the earth to swim in and to drink ( no it is not on the same pipeline!!! ) spending time next to the pool is amazing and walking around or sitting next to the river ( that you have to cross many times on your way here) gives you a calmness that very few places can make you experience. I don't think you can ever stay long enough....
