Yellow Aloe

The Yellow Aloe is an oasis. With beautifully appointed guest house options, friendly and accommodating owners and staff. The restaurant is also stunning with tables set in a whimsical forested garden providing a peaceful respite from the extreme heat we experienced during our stay in Clanwilliam. Once again thank you to Michel, Cheryl, Joseph and all the staff for making us feel so welcome.

Would highly recommend staying at Yellow Aloe, great location , lovely rooms and breakfast. There is nothing to not like about this place! Thank you so much Cheryl and Michel for your lovely hospitality.

Beautiful little hidden tea garden, sells yummy breakfast, on the main road but you can't even hear the vehicles go by. Pretty vintage shop and Beautiful positive quotes written everywhere on the walls.

Lovely garden venue. Visited during flower season so they were busy. The lady who we assume was the duty manager for the day was super friendly and offered great local advice. Menu very limited. Go there for a nice coffee and toasted sandwich.

Fabulous. Great value for money, really friendly hospitality, fast internet, exquisite gardens alive with birds, creating a tranquil, effortless stay. No rough edges or drone notes.

Just a B&B I would not use again, nothing majorly wrong with the place. The breakfast was lovely and it's just my preference to use Clanwilliam hotel if I am on that side of the world again.

Wonderful stay at Yellow Aloe! The place is beautiful and well looked after. The staff, especially Joseph, are wonderful!

On arrival the owner took us through to our room with no knowledge that the room hadn’t been cleaned - there was uneaten food in the room and it was all round messy. He also couldn’t navigate the keys to our room which took about ten minutes to find. We had to leave and come back to await our room being cleaned having booked two weeks in advance(our arrival shouldn’t have been a surprise).During load-shedding we got locked out of the property. We tried to call the office and nobody answered to the point that my fiancé and I had to climb the gate to get into the property. On check out the owner had acknowledged that he had heard about it, laughed and didn’t as much as apologies. He had also not shown us alternative entrances on arrival so we had no option but to climb over which could have lead to injury.We got off the dam at 4 o’clock in the afternoon to get home exhausted only to find our room wasn’t made up.The service was terrible the room we stayed in was awful - having looked around the property on leaving we realised that we had got the worst room of the lot.Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.Joseph and Kennen being the staff were the best but the owners were rude and frankly unaware.

Very cute accommodation, like a little getaway in the middle of the dessert. Highly recommend it.

Joseph was such a wonderful host, made us feel very comfortable. Made a fire for us and went out of his way to make freshly squeezed orange juice and an amazing breakfast! We think it's the best place to stay in Clanwilliam!
