Amazing mtb trails. Part of the 2019 Cape-Epic route. This forms part of the whole banhoek conservancy trails which comes from Stellenbosch and connects to the Boschendal over a fence bridge. Get the trailforks app to explore the trails

Banhoek Conservancy
The Banhoek conservancy offers a number of wonderful hiking and mountain biking trail options in the Stellenbosch area.I did the Duiwelskloof and Waterfall hikes in one session, as it is quite easy with no significant inclines. The paths are relatively well marked, although I had to backtrack once or twice due a missed turn. Note that there is limited shade on these hikes, so a hat and/or sunscreen is a must.Although both hikes are pretty, if you're only going to do one, I'll strongly suggest the Waterfall hike.

Visited Chilli Oil restaurant. Lovely space. Friendly service. I had a scrumptious breakfast of salmon, brain food, poached eggs and hollandaise source. The vibe was exciting with loud music pulsating because of the Cape Epic bicycle race at Bethlehem along the mountain. I had the company of a lovely young lady.Truly Memorable excursion

Beautiful hike. Little busy with mountain bikes. But if you stay on the hiking trails then you’ll be fine. It’s a bit steep so set your own pace. And the hidden waterfall is breathtaking.

Great hike with beautiful views and lovely waterfalls. Alot of stream crossing and walking under the forest canopy. A lovely hike!!!

Beautifully maintained trails, stunning day out riding. Lots of hikers too, but they are on different trails, so no interference whith cyclists.

My hometown... waking up and seeing God's work in the morning. Very safe if you know the mountain. Growing up here and explore it since I was a kid every holiday.

Awesome. There is lovely walk and cycling trails, however some may find the many rocks an extra challenge. Today the trails were very dry. The area is calm and peaceful. The mountain is a spectacilar backdrop to the trails.

Banhoek Conservancy
Hiked up the Banhoek Conservancy's Waterfall trail via Kylemore. It was a stunning hike with views of the area and nearby mountains. The waterfall is beautifully shallow and refreshing. You do not need to pay at the entrance if you're a hiker/walker/jogger/runner.
