Great investment with good management. Awesome place to stay for students, great location, very good security and nice modern finishes. I can definitely highly recommend IQ Brooklyn for investors and students looking for accommodation!

This place makes you feel like an outsider in your own home. They advertise it in such a good way but when you actually stay here there are lots of disadvantages and rules that make u feel like you staying in a hostel whereas it is private apartments. The gym has never been opened for about 2 years but we still have to pay levies for this. The lady in managing the property has become rude and disrespectful. Some residents here complain on a daily basis that they are treated like kids as if they are staying in a university residence.

High quality interiors and appliances situated in a very ideal location. A bit of a rich kid's varsity dream and hence, steeply and appropriately priced.Security are strict.Service delivery is lacklustre to non-existent. Comparing the iQ development by Uniqon to an industry leader such as Baldwin or Redefined leaves much to be desired. The apartments were not finished in time with numerous tenants needing to demand repairs on top of the unfinished rooms. Parking lot is dusty and paint dripped onto cars, staining them permanently. A few cars were stolen in the visitor's parking outside, before security strategy was adapted to guard them. The residents of block 3 have been tortured by loud construction noises and spotlights late into the night, as building of the subsequent iQ Brooklyn blocks continues.The rollout of the parking system has been a complete failure for months on end, with middle to lower management employees resorting to berating residents on a whatsapp group like angry school teachers. The group does not have all the residents on and many residents have left as a result of the trite nagging concerning incorrect parking and student parties making too much noise.The dream seems to have been to construct luxury student accommodation and they have. But it was certainly not accomplished smoothly. As should be clear from the above, management seems to constantly be reactive, discovering and then having to solve problems as they go along. One suspects managerial and industry inexperience and incompetence.All in all, iQ Brooklyn still delivers premium student accommodation and is ideally situated.Just consider avoiding Block 3 until they finish the hammering and drilling. Although they have fixed a lot of the initial issues, be prepared to actively demand your rights as a tenant.

I am a resident for IQ Brooklyn. AND IF YOU ARE A STUDENT AND WANT TO LIVE HERE. Read this: for any joyful event, you are permitted to not have a braai. You are not allowed to have a relaxed Sunday with your family and friends and braai. It’s sad as I wanted to have my family come to Pretoria for a braai for my birthday and we were not allowed to.Tonight my friends and I decided we wanted to have a braai. So we did so right outside of IQ Brooklyn past the pavement.The Security guards were phenomenal. Whilst we had a braai they made sure we were safe. Even out of IQBROOKLYN property they still took us into consideration and made sure we were safe.The management on the other hand is poor.They restrict the residents from so much.Even playing football outside of the IQ building. And suggest that we move further down the road.

Great place to be a student if you enjoy a quieter place.

Please either build the fitness center you promised , or remove it from your amenities section in your brochure. Completely false advertisement. Also, the late night drilling and construction is actually a violation of South African building regulations.

Firstly, I got severely injured. IQ Brooklyn has used cheap tiling and when it rains, the tiling becomes incredibly slippery. I had slipped twice and hit my head against the tiles, got a heamatoma and a severe concussion. Many other of my peers have slipped on these tiles too.[Below is a photo of my head injury from slipping on the tiles]Secondly, false advertising... IQ Brooklyn has promised us a gym but its been closed for the past 2 years and people who rent still have to pay levies on it. The also promised us a braai area but there is nowhere to actually braai.Thirdly, apartment built horribly... I currently own the apartment and my earth leakage started tripping for about 2 weeks. We asked the maintenance manager for assistance and told us that its our problem since we own the apartment. I called in an electrician and he said that IQ used wires with holes in it that kept tripping our electricity. This was their fault...Think twice before you buy an apart here, many people complain about the apartments inconsistency. Some people have different coloured cupboards and even light switches that some people don't have.

Very modern beautiful apartments, extremely close to TUKS with security all the way to its gate. Quite pricey but worth every penny. Gym desperately needs improvement and cafeteria recently closed down.

the most beautiful place I've lived and the worst living experience I have ever had. poor and disrespectful management, no gym as promised, water tariff vendor prices are extremely high despite there not being hot water at the complex especially during winter. when it rains water comes in through the ceiling and sliding door floors. really not worth the money you pay as an owner or a tenant. all in all 0/10. it just looks nice for vibes

I am currently residing at IQ Brooklyn and although it is a place that I would love to recommend to others due to the beautiful interior, lovely modern finishings and security - there are just many other aspects that take away from the beauty.The place is advertised as this luxury student living with impeccable amenities whereas in all honesty some of these things do not exist. Although the brochures indicate that there is a fitness centre, cafeteria and braai areas - none of the amenities actually exist. When I moved in 2019 I was told that they would be available only to find out that they do not exist when I got there.The management along with the board of trustees do not take any of the concerns raised into consideration, in most cases one will be met with a rude or shrug response to their queries.Most of the apartments were finished in a rush which results in issues with the actual structure. I have been living here for a little over a year and in that time I have had an issue with my plumbing , light fixtures and electrical sockets.It is meant to be a luxury living experience which we pay a fortune for but really that isnt what is delivered. In fact it often seems like a student residence just with a modern structure due to all the rules and incompetence.I continue to be extremely disappointed with my experience and look forward to moving out.
