Ayama Yoga
I joined Monique's classes in Kalk Bay after I had a knee operation (ACL replacement). She helped me greatly improve the healing process. Her passion for teaching and sharing her love of Iyengar Yoga is contagious and wonderful.

Wonderful yoga studio in Kalk Bay. Small classes, individual attention and lovely location. Monique is a fantastic teacher - disciplined, great attention to detail and always pushing you to improve. Highly recommended.

Whatever your limit is Monique always knows it is a bit further (!) - very motivating, disciplined and inspiring sessions! Each class I seem to find new muscles and alignments of the spaces inside and feel a sense of lightness and energy afterwards. Held in a beautiful, calming room with friendly, enthusiastic people - thanks Ayama!

Monique teaches iyengar yoga which is the best foundation one could ask for. She is disciplined, attentive to your needs and meets you where you are. Most importantly she is passionate about her role as teacher and fellow student in iyengar. I can't recommend her classes highly enough!

The space is big and beautiful in a very quaint road- a perfect setting for Yoga! Monique is an excellent teacher- kind, strict and caring. She has expansive knowledge of the Iyengar practice and shares it with passion.

Monique at Yoga Ayama's Iyenar teaching has changed the way i think and do yoga. Each class is a challenge that is supported and beautifully planned, in a light and gentle studio. Couldn't recommend it more.

I honestly feel that this is the best yoga class that I have been to in Cape Town. Monique guides you in a very conscious manner and made me feel safe trusting her guidance and awareness of my specific needs. Her intimate class allows for full focus and her ability to be aware of everyone and hold space for each student is beautiful. I fully recommend Ayama yoga as a studio, Monique as a teacher and Iyengar Yoga as a practice.
