Virgin Active Gym Victory Park

I was a member for over 8 years at this gym, and my family have been supporting them with their memberships, until one of the gyms wannabe prefect captains could not even bend the rules a bit to let my 14 year old brother train with me on the equipment. I am of legal age and she wouldn't let him because I am not a legal guardian. Couldn't seem to understand that my parents were busy and can't watch over my brother while he gyms, i.e that is why I am there. She stopped both him and his friend then proceeded to tell me off about it and then when my mother came in to try and sort things out she wouldn't budge, we cancelled all of our memberships and my brother's friends dad cancelled theirs. You lost 6 memberships that day virgin active due to that incompetent captain and I hope you are happy now that my brother is not going to spontaneously combust your gym equipment without the legal guardian he needs. Let's just hope for everyone's sake that captain doesn't remain in a position to flaunt her power over everyone at the gym for long, and if you are looking for a gym this is definitely not the one, I can't say I know much about the other virgin actives, but if their captains are anything like this, big warning to you, especially if you have kids of your own that you want to be fit and healthy and that are too old for playing child's games at club-v.

The front desk staff at this gym was rude and impossible to deal with! I brought my son tonight to wait in the waiting area next to front desk, and she had to harass me and my son with an ID number!! Whilst I understand there is rule to follow, but the attitude could be better and kinder! Why treat a underage person in such interrogating manner?! Who would have thought to bring an ID number for a person who has no ID card yet? Disgraceful!

Worse customer service I've ever experienced in any gym. Rude and unfriendly management. Don't waste your money. No services during load shedding. The message from management is clear, volume over quality.

Great gym, I'd just expand the weights section. It's a bot cramped unlike the other facilities at this establishment

The gym and equipment is fine. Some machines could definitely use some repairs and upgrades or updates. They don't have aircons during loadshedding so the place is boiling hot and some of the eletronic machines do not work. Management and staff can perhaps be more attentive to customers that dont wipe down equipment, rerack weights or ensuring fellow gym goers don't hog machines for extended periods of time.

It's alright. Some staff is AMAZING. Some just laze around. Some hours are AMAZING at the gym, some are so full and members take forever with meetings on equipment. Lovely class instructors, not hard at all. Can't get into pilates and yoga at all. Which is annoying. Oh and the club manager doesn't care about the clients at all.

Nice gym, just inefficiencies when it comes to their systems and trying to update personal information

One of the best in the Virgin Active range.Clean, well maintained, lovely and cool, has a generator for load shedding.Oh and the yoga studio is away from the weights section. No heavy thuds during shavasana.

Amazing gym. Just wish the kauai staff were a little more friendly.

A bit surprising how many of the different cycling equipment is not working 100% with some even missing the electronoc reader pr even the magnetic adjuster not working
