Wartburger Hof Hotel

Stopped for lunch and had a delicious home-made burger. Came with lettuce, tomato, cheese and barbecue sauce on it. Accompanied by crisp salad and great chips. They also serve the best Eisbein around. Well worth the drive for a day out. Also a great, reasonable place to stay with fabulous breakfast included.

I travel a lot and this is my worst experience ever.Only 1 item on the menu is available in the restaurant, yet they hand you the menu and said you can order.Room is dirty and tv signal full of static.No milk in the room to make coffee.Breakfast buffet is non existent. First got told that they don't place items on tables when it's quiet, but I can order. After ordering, got told out of stock.Ordered something else and then they didn't have white bread.In short, a cheap hotel will be better than this place...

Good dayI took my wife there for the first time after 13 years for lunch. I can remember the Hoff as one of the top places. I must say i was a bit dissapointed. First they did not had the drinks my wife ordered for example creamsode,apple tyzer,grape tyzer. She then ordered lemon twist. When she wanted another lemon twist that was also out of stock......... I dont know if we maybe chosen the wrong day or what but its not acceptable for a restaurant or hotel. I can remeber the place as a top restaurant with exellent service.When we wanted to use the toilets we been told that its out of order.......... Again not acceptable.The food we ordered was very nice but the pork ribs i ordered was suppose to be 400g but it looked more like150g. Def not 400g.I realy think you guys need to have alook at those things otherwise i cant see a future.Hope you see this as a positive comment and do something about it.

I haven't been here for a couple of years and was very disappointed that when I drove up from Durban their restaurant had no eisbein on the menu. This was apparently due to the chef not working that day. Other than that the venue was lovely and had a lot of heritage and historical decorations.

It was a hotel owned by my late uncle and family. Remember the hotel very fondly. Remember the off sales. bottle stop and assisting as a child many years ago and been given sweet treats. So pleased to see this hotel establishment still around.

Run down not a great experience. We went to dinner and there were only three things available on their extensive menu. No soft drinks or bottled water available. Only one waitress on duty and no reception staff. Furnishings in the bedroom old tatty and broken. I hope the new owners will revamp and make this place a great place to stay. Good luck.

Bathrooms not cleaned properly, no entertainment, boring place for a vacation. Good for 1 night stay. Had hot water issues, tv was not functioning. Restaurant menu is limited, does not have a lot of variety.Staff was friendly though.

Very good food, very comfortable setting. Service unfortunately is hit and miss. Edit was there 25/10/17 and best meal in ages service was top class. Keep it up Wartburger

Poor facilities and service, No hot water in the evening, telephone not working in the room to cal reception, no hot water in the morning. Key must be turned twice o the door to lock it, not explained on check in. Food presentation and quality not of the standard as advertised.

Trip down memory lane for the wife and myself. The Wartburger Hof hasn’t changed at all. In fact it’s like a time warp to the 1980’s. Even the decor haven’t changed since then. But it’s neat and tidy and the staff are friendly. Food was good too. Worth a stop!
