Groenkloof Slaghuis Butchery
This used to be a great butchery a few years ago. I used to be served with a smile, given advice on what to cook and how, and be told about what's fresh and good. Now, in 2016, I am treated rudely and frowned upon if I ask for a cheaper cut of meat. It's as if suddenly the shop is run by snobs. And it's not only myself whose had this experience. Sorry Groenkloof Butchery - looks like your legacy of being the best butchers around has fallen like the statue of Rhodes.

Very friendly service and very good quality meat products - I asked how quick they could prepare a Biltong platter as a gift and a very friendly lady made the loveliest 'biltongbord' in less than 15 min. So good!!!

Just got some boere wors from them and let me tell you I was beyond disappointed. Think they should give it a try themselves whoever gave them the Boerewors Champion award has absolutely no idea what it is suppose to taste like.The packet I got had a chemical smell and there is way too much sugar in the boerewors, maybe they more into making beef jerky.

Biltong in all stages of dehydration, ask the friendly blockman and he'll cut thick or thin or whole or fine, dry wors too and all cuts of meat, lamb, beef and some drinks in their fridge, top quality meat

We use to buy Boerewors from Groenkloof Slaghuis and it was very nice and tasty. The last batch we bought was definitely not the same recipe. We were very disappointed.
