Ashbourne House

Hard pressed to find a better host. We stayed here for three nights and over a two week vacation in many places on the Western Cape this was my favorite. Tim, the owner and host, is an engaging helpful and super friendly host. He is energetic to be sure our stay was very welcoming and responded to any request thoroughly. He set us up with dinners at one excellent and one superior restaurant. We made good use of his advice from things to do, to where to get a hair cut or a massage. I hope we get to go back someday.

Men are disrespectful and racist. They don't respect guests and watch our movements inside the house .The workers are very respectful, but the head of the house is not respectful

We had an amazing stay.Everything that you can wish for, on your vacation.I will definitely comeback.

We enjoyed our weekend at Ashbourne House tremendously. Cindy received us with a glass of wine and made us feel at home. Tim (owner) also welcomed us.The room was spacious with a great view.Load shedding was not an issue due to the use of renewable energy.Overall great experience.

The house is an icon! A very traditional house, made as a great guest house. The reception, owner and employees are very polite, and efficient. All was easy, from check-in, some special requests, every breakfast and specially the check-out (we were on a bit hurry, however well managed!) The room was enormous, great bathroom and enough space for a King size bed and a bed for my son! Good internet connection also. Localization: amazing! Strongly recommend, if you like to stay in this area! Unfortunately, due to the season, the swimming pool water was a bit too cold (perhaps one day a solar heater could be planned), just to not waste the cozy swimming pool they have.

Absolutely beautiful guest house and perfect for exploring Franschhoek. We loved our 3 night stay, the breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, the pool was glorious in the hot weather and the hosts were very friendly and helpful! We stayed in Tree Tops and it was very large, very well decorated and private. Very good value for money! Highly recommend.

The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable, my friends were also delighted. The guest house is only a 2 minute walk from the wine tram station. Tim provided me with exceptional service, from booking to stay, and we will definitely be back for a longer stay.
