Petena Pancakes
Visited in December 2022.We had the privilege of meeting the chef/owner. Wonderful staff at the establishment.We ordered the chocolate mousse pancake. It was incredibly good! They weren't shy with the mousse and the texture of the pancake was perfect. The cappucino was also one of the best we had in a while. What added to the whole experience was the beautiful view overlooking the mountains.We went back a day later for waffles and again it exceeded our expectations.The establishment is only about 2 months old (new owners) however here's hoping them lots of success!

Definitely worth it. Amazing place. Very friendly staff. Waffles are amazing. Burgers and milkshake. Tasted absolutely divine. Some of the best food I've had. By far the best peanut butter milkshake I've had. Waffles are thick and airy. So it's not heavy. Light with enough topping. I got the honey and ice cream waffle. Reasonable prices with the mountains as a view. This place gets a solid 5 stars from me. Keep it up guys and anyone traveling in this area or close by. Even if it's 50kms. Make the drive. It's worth it

Had a nice brunch at Petena Pancakes by a recommendation from our host.The place is very nice and clean and we were warmly welcomed by the staff.The service is very good and so were the food and drinks.The owner was also on site and made sure we are happy and even assisted us with choosing a dessert.It was a lovely brunch, I strongly recommend giving a visit.

The most delicious pancakes and waffles! The chocolate brownie waffle with ice-cream is divine!! The owners are the nicest people who go out of their wsy to please!

I always saw this place & told myself ill try it. Went there today & i dont regret. As soon as i walked in a gentleman came assuming he is the manager. Asked for an iced coffee & he made it for me real quick. I placed an order and before i could finish my iced coffee my waffle & chicken mayo sandwich was on my table. I was a bit skeptical of the caramel & banana waffle recommended by the waitress thinking it would be overwhelmingly sweet but everything was balanced . I recommend this place. Especially because u can have your food while enjoying the mountains view. I would rate it 10 stars if i could. Keep it up.

One of Sabie's niche stops available. Ample menu with both sweet and savoury waffle and pancake choices as well as burgers or toasted sarmies.Food is homely and well done. Decor is simple and relaxed.Space to add more decorations to liven up the place a bit. Just needs a touch of added zest to complete the recipe.Atmosphere was pleasant, small town and local. Staff were fast and friendly. Coffee was just what the doc ordered.

Curry lamb pancake was good, but banana caramel pancake was dry. Could hardly taste caramel. When I eat desert, it needs to be special with enough sweet filling.
