Meyers Farm parkrun
Beautiful trail run, almost no paved sections. Friendly and well-organised volunteers. No dogs allowed because it is on a working horse farm. Not for anyone with mobility issues. Can be done as a nice 5km walk in the country if you do not want to run it. Some uphill and downhills, some veld, some forest.

Meyers Farm parkrun
An ideal uncrowded Parkrun in the veld with birds, small animals, wild flowers, trees, running streams and horses. Grass gets cut regularly and cones clearly mark the trail. No dogs allowed.

Meyers Farm parkrun
A lovely route, was pretty muddy due to all the rain. Best to run/walk in trail shoes for a bit of traction. Wonderful views. An amazing find. No dogs allowed. Be aware that the start is a little further down the road than what Google maps says.

The track is not properly marked so you can easily get lost becausethe farm is so big. Not ideal to go after it has rained.I do however love the location. Meyer's farm is so beautiful and has this peaceful atmosphere.

Very scenic place to have a parkrun. I loved the trees and the trial itself. Nice and secure, next to the highway but being busy running you don't notice the trucks. I'd give this a miss if it was raining as the place is a mudslide after the rain.

More than meets the eye. Fields, freeways, forests, furrows, fern trees, farm-house all form part of this interesting parkrun. An enthusiastic run director on the day gets us going on time, after giving due credit to the Meyer family on whose farm this parkrun is enjoyed. The initial down run soon turns into an uphill but as it zigzags, you enjoy the views first of the freeways then over the Koppies and farmhouse with many outbuildings. Soon your into the ‘forest’ area with shade and views of a wetland, a water filled dam and sights of bee-hives and large ferns growing along the water course. Do forsake your effort to do a PB and soak up the beauty around you. Past the farmhouse you see horse paddocks and a nursery then back into the shade of trees. Soon you’re out into the open fields again and past the farm’s compost mounds, over another stream and up the hill before heading down through natural bush and on to the finish. With rain, this course will add a new dimension. Parking is plentiful, no proms or dogs allowed. Also no loos. Volunteers were on point and very friendly. Go and enjoy this run - certainly one of the better ones I’ve been on (40 and counting). Then off to a local breakfast spot at The Steaming Mugg in Alberton.
