Mountain View Guesthouse

On my way from Upington to Cape Town I booked a room at Mountain View. Before I even arrived Roché the owner got in touch with me to suggest dinner arrangements and sent directions. The welcome was very warm and accommodating. I felt very much taken care of. Thank you for the lovely experience in this superclean guest house. Roché is a very welcoming host and knows how to treat his guests.

It was the best stay we experienced on our road trip. The room was of royal standards it was very clean and the breakfast was freshly baked...we even got a takeaway breakfast packet for the road.we felt so welcome from the start. Lovely comfortable and clean accommodation. A lot of thought has gone into making your stay hassle free. Friendly and helpful host. Roché was very helpful when asked about amenities in the area. Bookings made for dinner at a suggested restaurant were super. Safe and secure. We would recommend this as a stop over in Van Rhynsdorp.

What a nice stay. Luxurious accommodation, and a freshly baked croissant and muffin for breakfast. The hospitality alone made this one of the best experiences I have had this side of the world.Petshop Science loves you guys

Wonderful stay. The room is magnificent, with attention to detail. Full streaming if you don't want to go out (Netflix, Showmax, Disney+, BritBox, etc). Owner assists with booking at local restaurants. Safe undercover parking. Good breakfast. Will definitely stay there again. We loved it.

We were looking for a weekend getaway.. After some negativity in Klawer, Strandfontein and Lutzville we decided for Vanrhynsdorp and Mountain View guesthouse... The drive was cool, even on a Friday... On arrival we got greeted by Roche', the owner. in a very friendly way he gave us a rundown, how it works, what to see and where to go. We were hungry, so we went for diner first.. Coming back, we had time to talk to him.... Next morning we got an easy but lekker presented breakfast on the stoep, facing the most beautiful garden setting I ve seen for a long time... He even gave us a tour... A paradise in the middle of a desert....His big, friendly Rothweiler girl and the funny parrot made the family feeling even more perfect.... The room was neat and clean, a/c working effectively and all the attention to details was just amazing... Where do you get different chargers for your phones in the room???All in all it was a perfect weekend for us. We arrived as strangers and left as friends... So if you are looking for a getaway or a stopover on the way to Namibia, a base camp especially in spring for the flowerseason...this is the place to consider.... Maybe I meet you there

Beautiful room with the most amazing attention to detail - they've thought of everything! The continental breakfast tray that was delivered to our room was such a lovely touch!

We were thoroughly spoilt and treated like royalty. The room was lovely and cozy and the breakfast was gorgeous. The host and hostess went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We will definitely come again.
