Modjadji Nature Reserve
The cycads are wonderful - makes the place feel a bit like Jurassic Park. The road inside the reserve is totally wrecked - only the toughest 4x4s will make it up; luckily, it is only a 1km walk through so we just parked and walked. Currently, it is free as a fire recently ravaged the facilities so nobody is charging money anymore. But this also means no bathrooms etc. It's a nice little stop and walk if you are in the area though

Stunning to see these giants, but the road leading there is tough, and the reserve itself is not in the greatest maintained shape.Still - it’s a great experience.... highly recommended!

Worth seeing if you are in the area. Nice little walk from the entrance to the picnic area. Wouldn't travel here from far away.

A nice walk in the park for tree lovers. You can go uphill (take the route leaving on the left hand side of the camp site) for an easy walk and a spectacular view over the valley. Or you can go downhill (take the stairs going down in the middle of the camp site) for a bush walk experience to the dam.

Modjadji Nature Reserve
The cycads are phenomenal. They are really something to behold. I highly recommend visiting this place, but there was a fire and the facilities are in a state if disrepair and the road in the reserve is not in a good condition. There is also a lot of weeds growing everywhere. It is still worth visiting!

It’s a little bit run down, but it’s clean and the picnic areas are fine. The cycads are amazing and so worth a visit.

This is a great place that is if you love misty places and weird trees. The space needs taking care of some more, it looks a bit abundend for my liking. But the people there are amazing, and you will have a great time if you are looking for a hide away to get naughty
