Refix - Apple Experts

I had one of those one in a million problematic iMac 27” machines that overheated. Even though the team had my machine for a long time, they too, eventually admitted defeat but to their credit offered to sell me a new iMac 24” at a very generously discounted rate as a solution to the problem which they clearly didn’t have to do. Decent and honest guys!

I stumbled upon Refix trying to find a replacement key for my macbook pro about 4 years ago. Since then I have tested them with all manner of challenges, from minor to complex - they have over-delivered every single time.The team at Refix are honest, fast, and incredibly helpful. They don't overcharge customers or recommend unnecessary repairs. I won't take my mac products anywhere else in cape town.

So the battery on my 2015 MBP was stuffed. At a stretch it was giving me 20 minutes. I was in the CBD with some time on my hands and decided to see if someone could replace it in 2 hours. Google search results threw out Refix. I'd never heard of them, but spotted a 4.7/5 review score from over 100 reviews and after a quick call to confirm they had a battery for my MBP and could meet the deadline, I went off to find them.Turns out, it's less like an iStore and more like a hole-in-the-wall, but neat with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ezekiel immediately spotted that my screen had seen better days and deftly upsold me on revamping that. I left my baby with him and went off to find lunch, having impressed upon him that I had to have it back by 3:30pm as I had a 4pm meeting.Around 2:30pm I got a Whatsapp with some photos of the inside of my MBP. I travel a lot and a fair bit of the outside world seemed to have found its way inside the casing - not ideal! Another Ezekiel sales pitch and I'd agreed to him giving it a clean while he was busy.3pm I got a call to say it was done. I got strict instructions on how to do the initial charges of the battery, paid my bill (which was granted much higher than I'd initially figured, but with a glossy new screen and the knowledge that the components were not longer smothered in dust). On it's maiden off-grid trip it was at 60% battery at the end of 4 hours. I haven't pushed it further yet, but 4 hours is way better than 4 minutes and it was all done quickly and efficiently with good customers comms.I'll happily use them again.- Dave Gale

Very unprofessional servicesThe pricing is not fixed and is determined based on who you are and how much knowledge you have on devices.I was inconvenienced twice regarding when to pick up my device , both times no one was at the shop.I would not recommend at all.

I highly recommend Refix for their exceptional repair services for Apple devices. Their team is super friendly and accommodating, the quality of their work is outstanding and the price is very fair and reasonable.I had to seek their help three times during my stay in SA, and each time, they went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction.On my first visit, they fixed my Macbook within 1 day, and even replaced some worn-out keys, which was a pleasant surprise.Two months later, my Macbook screen broke when the flexibel hinge cables finally wore out after 7 years of usage and it couldn't be repaired. They offered me the option of either replacing the monitor or buying a refurbished, newer model. I opted for the latter and am very happy with my new MacBook (for a lower price than I expected) - they even took care of the migration and setup as well.Additionally, I dropped my iPhone on another occasion and shattered the screen, but Refix had it fixed within a few hours.

They fixed the keyboard on my MacBook in no time. Friendly, fast and affordable.Super service. Great job

This is such a great small team. Prices are fair and they care about quality. This is the second time I have been to Refix and they have saved me a lot of money but using second hand spares that were perfect. Besides that service is great too!

Ezekiel and his team are stars! I bought a stunning Macbook Pro 2019 from them for an unbelievable price (in amazing condition) and they bought my old iMac from me for a great price too. There's not much to say other than recommend them. I will definitely go back to buy in the future. I haven't used their repair service but I trust it will be good. They are busy and get in lots of stock all the time so you need to check in regularly as units fly off the shelves within hours. Thanks again!

My MacBook screen was broken and Refix was the only place I found that offered a reasonable price and great service. Would definitely recommend for any apple related repairs. They definitely know what they are doing and are very quick and efficient. Very friendly too
