Sean's boat was fast off the mark with the new Yamahas making an easy trip out to the fishing spot. Had a great day with lots of solid help and professional advice, rounded off with a tough fight and a 70.5kg yellow fin. Already planning another trip.

Our experience was stellar! Even in the initial planning and inquiry, Captain Sea’s communication was great! We were able to use What’s app and fine tune details which helped immensely! He helped with driving tips and let us know what to expect!The actual day of fishing was truly memorable. On the way we got a flat, luckily Sean was able to be contacted via what’s app, and we arrived on time. Everything was ready for us! Breakfast, snacks and Lunch! Sean took us to several locations to find Yellowtail! We caught fish and were throughly pleased with our adventure. A totally professional business that goes the extra mile for its customers!

Booked a one day fishing experience with Hooked on Fishing for 4 persons after finding them on the internet. When fishing you prep to enjoy the sea, the people and hope to chat 1 or 2 fishes. What a day, we caught 6 big yellowfin tuna, saw a sunfish, a huge school of dolphin playing around the boat, some mighty albatrosses. And all of that while being guided by the best crew one can imagine. What a great humor, energy and experience they have. It made this a once in a lifetime experience. Ignore the reply as clearly the owner, Sean, doesn’t know how to be polite/apologise/fix a problem he caused even if he tried. He also runs Hout Bay fishing charters but my appalling treatment occurred outside his fish and chips kiosk in the same area. He clearly has a problem with patrons supporting other businesses, as you’ll see in other one star reviews (and if I could assign zero stars I would). He embarrassed me in front of my friends visiting from overseas by full on shouting at me for sitting at the entirely empty table area outside of the fish and chips shop where we had stopped briefly to have a quick bite before heading to our tour. Basing his information on an assumption that we had not bought food from his shop when we actually had purchased drinks from there and so had every right to sit down for a few minutes, he reprimanded me for having “an attitude” when I was trying to explain we had in fact supported his fish n chips biz. I will most certainly not be returning, nor will I be supporting this entire business, so well done, boet, you clearly need a lesson in manners and basic business and general etiquette. I shudder to think how you treat your staff if that’s how you treat your paying patrons. Good luck.

GIANT Tuna with a world class crew! Hooked on Africa is simply one of the best teams anywhere. Captain Sean is a fish finding rockstar. After 4 giant tunas the last an 80 kilo monster that fought over two hours, I begged them not to hook another fish. I had nothing left in me to fight another fish. That my friends is the best feeling one can experience. Professional and knowledgeable crew that will lead you to fish and provide a truly memorable experience. Five stars!

Sean and his team run a great operation. We didn't get many fish, but despite that it was a great day out and the team were professional, friendly and a pleasure to deal with, start to finish.
