This is a hidden gem right under our noses. a nice quiet place with the best food. Can't believe we haven't seen this before. The rooms are spacious. Quality bed and bedding, for a good night's rest. Just one small problem there is nowhere to put your soap in the shower. I will definitely visit again and again. The food is absolutely delicious. Nice friendly people and it is great to have the owner and his wife around, making sure everything runs smoothly.

Beautiful place to take a retreat, restaurant has limited options. Large garden with tree swing, friendly dogs. I would recommend for families, and couples. Staff is very friendly and courteous.

A true South African hidden gem. The tranquil gardens, stone pathways leading around the gardens are magical to explore. Just an amazing atmosphere that's soothing for the soul. We loved the calming vibe, we booked a night in Room no.3. Alltogether it's a memory that'll last forever.Taryn is a joyful host that makes you feel like you've always been best friends. Compliments to her charisma and finesse. Annette is very accomodating and helpful to ensure a wonderful stay. Everyone at Pierneef's Kraal is sure to make you feel welcome and cared for.The room was private even with its own small courtyard and patio. Spacious with beautiful timeless and simplistic design.An aritst's paradise that inspires creativity, with a menu that's great for any occassion. Try the open pies and pizzas, I've tried most of them. Even the mushroom burger with deep fried carrot chips was an eye opener. A great place for the whole family to chill for a breakfast, and before you know it you'll still be hanging around for lunch.

Went to the restaurant.Beautiful garden. Tables in upper garden far apart so noise from other tables didn't disturb our conversations.There is one table in front of a fire place in the courtyard that looks Ike it could be nice on the right day

Beautiful venue and very relaxing atmosphere. The service was good considering the size of the venue and the food was good. The wine list is very limited with wines of average quality only. The corkage fee of R150 is stiff considering the limited wine list.

Beautiful rooms and venue,, just needed some little portable lights Maybe for that middle of the night loadshedding, especially for kids...service fantastic!!everything was so much more than what we expected, fabulous place!!!

Hidden gem. Very nice food. There are no vegan options only a few vegetarian, but the butternut soup with the potbrood was delicious. The atmosphere is so relaxing.

Fantastic self-contained guest house with lots of character. The grounds are wonderful to walk around or sit and read a book. It's very safe in a great neighborhood. I would recommend this to professionals, couples, and and families alike. We were attending a conference at the CSIR which was just down the road.

Another wonderful find. We visited for breakfast. Eggs Benedict - wifey had it with salmon, mine was with bacon. Both excellently presented and equally delicious. Will be back for sure!!!The only thing I would say on a slightly negative front was that we were told that they were fully booked for breakfast and that we could have a table in front of the kitchen. I asked if we could have another table as there seemed to be many empty tables and luckily we were moved. After having eaten and an hour later there were still numerous empty tables throughout the venue.
